Awesome and quick experience. Diane was wonderful. She reviewed and explained everything. Joe did a great and timely repair. Debbie is always helpful too.
The day we were waiting for, for such a long time, started with snow and then freezing rain. My little dog Bently then ran through a patch of burs on our morning run. Our cat got sick and I stepped in it and almost fell while getting our trade in R.V. ready to go. We drove to Joliet hoping for a better day getting our new R.V. The walk through that Ricky gave us was fabulous! He was professional, courteous and showed us everything and then some. A little more bad news followed when I learned that R.V.'s need to be caulked, caulked, and caulked! Our last R.V. dealer where we bought our last one never mentioned that. Always wondered if I could get up on that roof and walk around! Rick's R.V. told us the news of our trade in a professional and caring way. We learned a lesson but then our salesman Kurt, staff members Dave and Jim made the day beautiful. We now have a new R.V. and we couldn't be happier and now we are a lot smarter about keeping this beautiful new R.V. shipshape. Oh yes, forgot to mention the guys in the shop finding a toaster, coffee machine, dishes, etc. in our old R.V. Like I said, we learned a lot on a bad day made beautiful!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the walk through we received when we picked up our RV. Tim was very knowledgeable and took ample time to go over the RV. We have been RVing for several years, and actually learned a few new tips from Tom. Thank you for your time, passion and information!!
I would like to thank ALL of the persons involved with the process of buying our new camper. From our sales rep Curt to our walk through with Dwayne to our financing rep Jim to the service staff Rick V. to the customer service. Our experience was postive throughout the complete process. We highly recommend Rick's RV Center.
Bought new truck f150 looks Great & was installed Great service
Dianne in service department was very friendly and explained the whole bill to me. Nick B, did an outstanding job installing all my accessories on my new truck. They all look great. Thanks.
I bought a folding hardcover tandeau cover, mudflaps, rain gaurds, and floor mats for my new truck. Brian Niedermeyer went over the top with his knowledge and explaining all the pros and cons of all the products. Also great price on everything. Thanks for an awesome experience.
Nick sold us a 2016 Jayco Jayflight 26BH. This was our first travel trailer. Nick took all our questions and put us at ease. Very professional and helpful. He even helped us out with some small items to complete our deal. Got a great price and we are very pleased with our experience at Rick's RV. John in service treated us like gold, Jim in finance walked us through everything and answered all our questions and we even got to meet the owner Rick. What a great day it was. Thank you for treating us very well. We will tell all our friends shopping for RV's to check out Rick's RV. Jim & Charlotte Griffith from Indiana.
Props for Marty in the service department. Two of the shades in our 2017 NP stopped working properly. I was having difficultly getting them replaced near our winter site in Florida. Marty stepped in, had Jayco ship replacements directly to our resort, and made arrangements for me to return the old ones when I return to Shorewood this summer. Easy peasy. Thanks, Marty!
Dwayne did my new demonstration on my new camper very thorough very nice guy very fast thanks again
This the second RV I have purchased at Rick' RV. Nick has stayed in touch since my first purchase in 2015 and is always willing to answer any questions I have. His knowledge of the product and his easy going personality makes you feel comfortable and never pressured. I hope not to buy another RV anytime soon but I will direct friends to Nick at Rick's RV. Jim Freeland makes the money/finance go smoothly and is very easy to work with and knows not only the finance end of the business but is a great resource for RV products and services. Dwayne in the Service Dept did the walk through with us just as he did 3 years ago. Every detail was covered and he offered hints/helps to make our camping experience trouble free. Dwayne expains it to the level of the costumer and ensures you understand the operation of all equipment. Nick, Jim, and Dwayne are 5 STAR employees and the reason I came back to Rick's RV for my upgrade. Thanks again.
Great price and great service. Bryan Niedermeyer was a big help and explained the product that I was interested in thourghly.
MY EXPERIENCE WAS ABSOLUTELY GREAT INSTALLATION OF A FIFTHWHEEL HITCH WENT SMOOTHLY. UNDER 3 HOURS AND NICK EVEN INSTRUCTED ME HOW TO USE IT. THANKS NICK, JEFF, AND RICKS RV MARK PEAL
I giving Ken Townsend two thumbs up for going thru my repair list with me while in my travel trailer and then getting it all repaired to my satisfaction. I also had an issue with my rear trailer axle where the wheels looked bowed compared to the other axle. Ken's had to go back and forth with calls to the manufacturer, but he managed to get a new axle secured and installed for me. I'm grateful for his perseverance regarding this. Also bumped into Joe Farkas (my salesman) in the parts area and he helped me find a part I needed and even rang me up. Ricks RV has a great team of friendly, courteous, helpful employees and I always mention Ricks to people when talking about my travel trailer. Thanks guys!
We bought a new Jayco 2018 38FDDS. From Nick, our salesman, to Jim in finance, we are totally happy with the way our purchased was handled. Friendly, sincere and professional. We experienced a few problems with leaks and the air conditioner after we closed the deal and our trailer was delivered, but Jeff Pilon took care of everything! I will say this, Ricks RV stands behind you, and so does Jayco. Many thanks to everyone at Ricks RV, when it's time to buy another trailer, we'll be back.
Friendly staff when arriving at the service desk. Assistance with dropping off and picking up the camper. Always a positive atmosphere in the store when you arrive.
Just wanted to give a quick review and say thanks to Joe for helping me find the right rv for my family he was extremely knowledgeable on every unit but really helped me narrow them down and find the perfect unit. Jim in finance went way above and beyond for me to make the deal happen. Also wanted to say that when Dwayne went over the unit with me he was extremely friendly and very helpful w explaining all the ins and outs of my purchase. I highly recommend ricks rv to anyone looking to make a purchase or for any of their service needs.
If there were a minus rating that is what I would give this business. My husband and I flew from Ma to Joliet to purchase a "brand new" 2018 Jayco Seneca after speaking with Brian the owners nephew several times on the phone regarding this purchase. We wanted to make sure that this "brand new" RV was everything that we wanted and expected from a "brand new" RV. Brian assured us that it was. We decided to go through with the purchase and put down the required down payment. When we arrived at the airport we were greeted by the sales manager Jim who drove us to the dealership. When we finally got to see what we purchased we were a little less then pleased. The interior was very cheap. The door to the bathroom was chipped along the bottom, there was a huge scratch along the outside of the RV. We had a washer/dryer combo installed in the bedroom closet; the doors don't close all the way. That's minor compared to what happened next. We finalized the paperwork, purchased additional insurance, (thank goodness!). On our way back home about 100 miles in our engine light came on. So we called the roadside assistance as instructed. The RV tech said to continue on didn't seem serious if another light comes on call back, another orange engine light came on and then a red engine light came on and we started to lose power. So we had to pull over. We called roadside assistance again and needed to be towed to the nearest freightliner service center which was 16 miles away. We waited about 6 hours stranded in a parking lot. We froze, we were told by the dealership that we could use the gas as a main source of heat, well it isn't, we found out later that it is a secondary source. When the tow truck driver arrived hours later he hooked up our brand new RV to the tow truck incorrectly; as this is a Allison Diesel transmission and in order to tow it correctly the driveshaft must be disconnected first. The next day we contacted the Allison headquarters and district manager who confirmed that towing our brand new RV this way could cause serious transmission damage. We contacted Ricks RV and spoke to Brian several times throughout the coarse of the two days we were stuck in Ohio and voiced our concerns regarding the engine lights, the transmission and our conversation with the Allison headquarters district manager. In addition to the engines lights going on, the RV being towed incorrectly, the inside started falling apart. The bedroom door hook broke and the door came flying opened and smashing the wall. The drawers all flew open, some of the drawers are on crooked. The back window came flying open as we were traveling, the metal filters under the microwave came flying off. There were bugs in the folds of the curtain above the cab. The linoleum looks as though it has water stains on it. Metal fragments were everywhere! We relayed all this to Brian and told him this was unacceptable and he apologized and was willing to take the RV back. The engine problem was faulty wiring. Then he said he wouldn't take it back. He told my husband as far as the transmission goes why worry, we have a warrantee anyways. We preceded on our way home and the shifting light (illuminated wrench on control panel) came on, my husband again called Brian who said not to worry. My husband was finally able to get it to shift and we made it home. My husband has since checked the engine/transmission fluids and has noticed metallic fragments in that now. My husband has consulted with a locale Freightliner dealer who told us most likely because of the way our RV was towed that this could void our Allison Transmission warrantee. We purchased a new RV so that we wouldn't have any problems and feel safe driving a brand new RV, now we have to worry about engine and transmission failure and putting our family in danger. I feel Rick's RV was well aware of all these problems. We paid over 170,000 for a lemon!
great place to do business with. the staff could not have been more helpful this place is #1
