Mt. Angel Oktoberfest – 60 Years of Celebration
Mt. Angel Oktoberfest returns for its 60th year, drawing over 350,000 visitors to the beloved Bavarian-style festival. Hosted in the charming town of Mt. Angel, the celebration features five Biergartens, world-class entertainment across four stages, and over 50 nonprofit food booths offering both Bavarian classics and local favorites. Guests can also enjoy family-friendly activities like a free Kindergarten area, arts and crafts, the Cruz-n Car Show, wiener dog races, and a 5/10K run. Entry is free, but tickets are required for select premium venues.

76th Annual Salem Art Fair & Festival
Celebrate art and creativity at the 76th Annual Salem Art Fair & Festival, one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest and most beloved art events. 2025 Art Fair Plant Sale
Mission Street Parks Conservancy invites garden lovers to the annual Art Fair Plant Sale, held in partnership with the Salem Art Fair. Tucked away in the shade near the Bush House Museum, this sale features a wide selection of carefully curated plants (perennials, herbs, succulents, grasses, and more) perfect for fall planting. Local specialty nurseries will be on site, along with knowledgeable plant experts ready to assist. Proceeds from the sale directly support the preservation and beautification of Bush’s Pasture Park. Entry to the plant sale is free, and plant pickup is easy with drive-up access.

Bauman’s Cider Maze & Sunflower Saturday
Head to Bauman’s Farm and Garden for a full day of fun, flavor, and flowers at this special Cider Maze & Sunflower Saturday event. Guests (21+) can explore a corn maze filled with hidden cider and beer stations, while enjoying five tastings and a keepsake cider glass. The day also includes access to the sunflower field, hay rides, animal barn, corn maze, and playground. U-cut sunflowers are available for $2 per bloom. Bring your own clippers if you can!

Northern Lights Theatre Pub is teaming up again with At Easel Art for Brush & Box Office, a creative day combining painting and a movie. Participants ages 8+ (and kids 5–7 with an adult) can enjoy a guided step-by-step painting class, followed by a showing of Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale (PG).
Ticket options include painting only or painting plus the movie, which comes with popcorn and a drink. All supplies are included. What a fun way to spend a Saturday morning!

The Great Marble Hunt
Set off on a community-wide treasure hunt during The Great Marble Hunt, where over 100 hand-crafted glass marbles will be hidden throughout downtown Salem. Stretching from Riverfront Park to the Capitol, the event features marked “marble zones” and a free map available at the hub on Commercial Street.
Visitors can also browse a local vendor market, shop for glass art, and watch artists at work before beginning the hunt. This event is free and open to all ages.
