Ceili of the Valley invites the community to a Pan Celtic Ceili, featuring dances from each of the seven Celtic nations. Arrive by 7:15 PM for a short dance lesson before enjoying live music and called dances throughout the evening. No partner or previous experience is needed! Light snacks will be available.

Powerland Halloween 2026
Ready to solve a mystery? Powerland Heritage Park is inviting families to enjoy a kid-friendly, non-scary Halloween adventure featuring The Case of the Missing Fairy, trolley and MAX car rides, a Kids Activity Center, and more. Sunday visitors can also explore the model railroad museum from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Halloween event will continue Saturdays and Sundays throughout October.

Great Willamette Cleanup – Salem (On Land)
Willamette Riverkeeper, Castaway E.C.S., the Mid-Willamette Valley STREAM~N Team, and Salem Parks are teaming up for an on-land cleanup at Wallace Marine Park. Volunteers will help remove trash from the park’s northern floodplain area before winter water levels rise, which supports a cleaner and healthier Willamette River.

Salem Out of the Darkness Walk
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (Oregon Chapter) is hosting their annual Salem Out of the Darkness Walk this weekend at Riverfront Park. This non-competitive, 1- to 3-mile walk offers connection, hope, and support through an opening ceremony, healing activities, resource tables, and complimentary honor beads for participants.

Salem Philharmonia Orchestra Presents: Brahms & Beethoven
The Salem Philharmonia Orchestra presents a weekend of classical favorites featuring pianist Monica Ohuchi. The program includes Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 and Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No. 5. A preconcert talk will begin 45 minutes before each performance.

Yoga at the Estate
Silverback Estate Winery will start Sunday with an all-levels yoga flow surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the estate. The class is designed to energize the body and calm the mind, followed by a complimentary glass of wine to enjoy afterward. Advance reservations are recommended.

Heritage Talk: Elizabeth Mehren
Bush House Museum welcomes author Elizabeth Mehren for a Heritage Talk centered on I Lived to Tell the World, which shares the stories of 13 people who survived conflict and persecution before rebuilding their lives in Oregon. Space is limited to 25 guests. Registration closes October 9 at 4:00 PM.
