2024 Lebanon Strawberry Festival

Lebanon’s beloved Strawberry Festival is BACK, ready to celebrate their sweetest tradition. This berry-filled event includes fantastic fireworks, the World’s Largest Strawberry Shortcake, exciting parades, and live entertainment. Come enjoy a wide range of activities for all ages and budgets!

It’s all about Friends! Free Music Friday

The Salem Community Chorus will be performing their “Friends Making Music – Music Making Friends” concert this Friday at Beehive Station Food Pod. This is a great opportunity to support this local non-profit chorus group (and enjoy some good food while you’re there). Donations are welcomed and encouraged.

Watercolors Made Easy: Oregon Coastline

Chemeketa Cellars is hosting a watercolor painting class by Western Rose Studios, where Elizabeth will demonstrate various techniques for creating a beautiful Oregon coastline. No drawing or painting experience is required—the line drawing will be pre-drawn on the watercolor paper.

Participants will learn to mask white waves using tape. All painting materials are supplied, but attendees can bring their own brushes if preferred. A complimentary beverage is included, with options like wine, beer, cider, or soft drinks. Additional food and drinks can be purchased on-site. Pre-registration is required.

Salem’s Riverfront Carousel’s 23rd Birthday Celebration

Salem’s Riverfront Carousel is celebrating its 23rd birthday on June 1st! The festivities include singing “Happy Birthday” and enjoying a complimentary slice of birthday cake at noon (while supplies last). The carousel will be offering $1 rides all day. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration!

Ukrainian Embroidery Class

Barre + Beer Salem | Minto Island Growers

Yoga + Beer is putting on two Barre classes this summer at Minto Island Growers, led by Brooke Schelar. Participants will need to bring themselves, a yoga mat, and enthusiasm for a new workout experience. This full-body, low-impact class blends ballet conditioning, Pilates, yoga, and cardio—all set to music. This class is open to all bodies and all skill levels. The class will be 60 minutes, followed by a time to socialize with beverages or snacks.

Superhero Run by CASA of Marion County

The Superhero Run returns to Riverfront Park on Sunday, June 2nd, hosted by CASA of Marion County. The event features a Superhero Costume Contest with prizes for best costume in adult and youth divisions. Costumes are strongly encouraged, making it a kid-friendly and superhero-themed event. The event includes a free one-mile fun run for the community. Proceeds support CASA’s mission to advocate for children in foster care.
