She’s Speaking LIVE: A Salem Concert Celebrating Women Songwriters

Beth Wood, LaRhonda Steele, Naomi LaViolette, Liz Chibucos, Lisa Mann, Bre Gregg, Arietta Ward, and Salem’s Kristen Grainger will perform songs by women, about women, for everyone. St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at the Half Penny
The Half Penny Public House is hosting a two-day St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 16th and 17th. The festivities begin at 8 AM with a weekend breakfast, which includes traditional Irish food alongside the full menu. Expect visits from bagpipers and live music performances from Surefire, Irish Mike, and Hucklebuck Highway. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best “St. Paddy’s green” and enjoy green beers, Guinness on tap, Irish stew, and more.

Everyone is invited to dress in green and join the Ceili of the Valley Society for the St. Patrick’s Walk-About in downtown Salem. The event, led by the Willamette Valley Pipes and Drums, starts in front of the Riverfront Carousel at 11:30 AM and moves through the park and downtown for about an hour. The walk concludes back at the Carousel for a group photo, celebrating the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day. “Everyone is Irish for the day!”
