First Friday Art Walk in Downtown Salem

It’s the first Friday of the month, which means it’s time again for the First Friday Art Walk. This monthly event offers a vibrant evening of local art, pop-up events, live music, and more, inviting the community to explore downtown Salem from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Book Signing and Presentation @ Keizer Cultural Center

The Keizer Heritage Museum is honored to present a special book signing event featuring Dr. Russell Low’s new book, A Willow Tree Becomes A Forest. Free Walking Tour of Mission Street Gardens

The Lord & Schryver Conservancy, Deepwood Museum and Gardens, and Mission Street Parks Conservancy/Bush Park are teaming up for a captivating Historic Tree-themed walking tour. Participants will have the opportunity to delve into the history of the majestic trees that grow in these spaces, as well as learn about preservation efforts and the impact of climate change on both current and future tree selections. This educational scenic tour is offered free of charge.

Parking options include the Soap Box Derby lot on Mission Street or the Deepwood lot at 12th & Lee. Please note, due to the natural terrain of the gardens, the tour may not be fully accessible to those using wheelchairs or knee scooters.

Tulip & Flower Festival at French Prairie Gardens

French Prairie Gardens is thrilled to welcome everyone to celebrate the season at their very first Tulip & Flower Festival! Immerse yourself in the beauty of their vibrant You-Pick tulip field, capture the moment with charming spring photo opportunities, and savor the taste of their delicious food and drinks. Flower hanging baskets will be available for sale, and thrill-seekers can enjoy the Mega Ride N’ Slide. The festival will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays throughout April.
