68th River of Gems Rock, Gem, and Mineral Show
Hosted by the Willamette Agate & Mineral Society, this long-running rock, gem, and mineral show is back for its 68th year at the Polk County Fairgrounds. Guests can explore 26 vendors, see stunning display cases, enjoy demonstrations, and experience a glowing fluorescent show.
There will be kids’ games, a silent auction, and food available on-site. On Saturday at 1 PM, children 11 and under can join in a special treasure hunt featuring eggs filled with polished rocks. Sunday’s highlight is the scholarship auction at 2:00 PM supporting earth science students. This year’s theme is “Thundereggs.”

Make Music Salem Countdown Event at Xicha North!
Get ready to sing and dance at this Make Music Salem Countdown Event, happening Friday evening at Xicha Brewing North. The celebration kicks off with a short set by Jaime Talavera at 6 PM, followed by Pachanga. This all-ages event is free to attend, with delicious food and drinks available for purchase from Xicha. Donations to support Make Music Salem are welcome as the city gets closer to the big day on June 21st!

Cycling Across Oregon
Join author Dan Shryock at the Salem Public Library as he shares insights from his book Cycling Across Oregon: Stories, Surprises & Revelations Along the State’s Scenic Bikeways. This free author talk, supported by the Salem Library Foundation, offers a deeper look into Oregon’s scenic beauty and rich history through the eyes of a group of cyclists journeying across all 17 of the state’s official bikeways. Seating is first-come, first-seated.

West Coast Swing Lesson and Social Dance
Amoré Dance Studio invites dancers of all experience levels to enjoy a fun and welcoming evening of West Coast Swing at Salem Jazzercise.
