Bridges 2 Recovery: Carnival!
C.H.A.N.C.E. is hosting its annual Bridges 2 Recovery Block Party with a lively carnival theme this year. Families can enjoy games, face painting, and shaved ice, while adults connect through a resource fair and hear from guest speakers. A highlight of the event is the “Hands Across the Bridge” demonstration at 12:30pm. Lunch is provided, and the entire event is FREE and open to the public.

Nutcracker Auditions 2025
Legacy Ballet is holding auditions for its 2025 production of The Nutcracker, open to local dancers ages 6 and up. Auditions will take place on Saturday, September 13, with time slots based on age and experience level. This cherished annual tradition offers young performers the opportunity to take part in one of Albany’s most beloved holiday performances. Link Up Vets – BBQ & Darts (Two Events)
VFW Post 584 invites the community to Link Up Vets, a day-long event with something for all ages. From 1:00–6:00 p.m., enjoy a family-friendly BBQ with lunch, a waterslide, and outdoor fun (lunch served from 1:00–3:00 p.m.). Then from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, it’s adults-only for a dart tournament (sign up at 5:00 p.m., $10 entry) and DJ Half-Mex playing live music all evening. Open to the public and dedicated to celebrating and connecting with local veterans.
