Pumpkin Carving Contest
Join the Albany Regional Museum for a festive afternoon of creativity at their Pumpkin Carving Contest on Friday, October 17. From 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., participants can purchase a pumpkin for $7 to carve on-site and enter into a judged contest—with a prize for the winner! All tools and supplies will be provided. Kids can also decorate mini pumpkins for free while supplies last. Costumes are encouraged, and guests may take their pumpkins home or leave them on display at the museum. Midnight at the Masquerade: Murder Mystery Dinner
Sweet Red Bistro invites guests to an evening of mystery, elegance, and suspense with “Midnight at the Masquerade”—an interactive murder mystery dinner featuring a decadent four-course meal. The menu includes themed dishes like Charcuterie & Cyanide, Poisoned Pumpkin Soup, and Chocolate to Die For. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for cocktails and mingling. Guests are encouraged to dress in cocktail attire and Venetian masks. Tickets include dinner and entertainment; beverages sold separately.

ACT Costume Loft Project Volunteer Day
Albany Civic Theater is calling on community members to lend a hand during their Costume Loft Project on Saturday, October 18. Volunteers are needed to help move costumes from the current loft to a new building using mobile racks, helping to prepare for a future pop-up costume sale. Whether you can stay all day or just for an hour, your support will make a big difference! Wear work clothes—snacks and drinks will be provided.

Choo Choo and Pumpkins Too!
All aboard for fall fun at the Tennessee Thunder Stand & Railroad in Lebanon! Every Saturday and Sunday through October 26, families can enjoy quarter-scale train rides, a pumpkin patch (with pumpkins priced $1–$15), photo ops, and a scavenger hunt. Admission includes one train ride, with second rides available at half price. Tickets are sold in the gift shop—cash is preferred, but cards and mobile payments are accepted with a small fee.

2025 Oregon Flock & Fiber Festival
The Oregon Flock & Fiber Festival returns to the Linn County Expo Center for a weekend full of fiber arts, community, and creativity. Happening October 18–19, this beloved event features workshops, hands-on demonstrations, livestock shows, and a bustling marketplace with fiber goods, tools, and accessories. The Great Pumpkin Patch
Celebrate fall and support a great cause at The Great Pumpkin Patch, benefiting Albany Area Habitat for Humanity. From October 17 to 31, families can browse a wide variety of pumpkins, with 100% of proceeds going toward building affordable homes in the Albany area. Enjoy daily activities, photo ops, games, crafts, and contests—thanks to the support of local sponsors. Every visit brings something new!
