Pumpkin Carving Contest

Join the Albany Regional Museum for a festive afternoon of creativity at their Pumpkin Carving Contest on Friday, October 17. From 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., participants can purchase a pumpkin for $7 to carve on-site and enter into a judged contest—with a prize for the winner! All tools and supplies will be provided. Kids can also decorate mini pumpkins for free while supplies last. Costumes are encouraged, and guests may take their pumpkins home or leave them on display at the museum. Sponsored by Albany Safeway.

All aboard for fall fun at the Tennessee Thunder Stand & Railroad in Lebanon! Every Saturday and Sunday through October 26, families can enjoy quarter-scale train rides, a pumpkin patch (with pumpkins priced $1–$15), photo ops, and a scavenger hunt. Admission includes one train ride, with second rides available at half price. Tickets are sold in the gift shop—cash is preferred, but cards and mobile payments are accepted with a small fee.
