The Big Five-Oh! at Albany Civic Theater
Albany Civic Theater presents The Big Five-Oh!, a hilarious and heartfelt play by Brian Mitchell, directed by Scott Harvey. The story follows George Thomas as he hits his 50th birthday—facing a week full of chaos, quirky family dynamics, and the realization that growing older might just mean growing up. iSwim for Kids 2025
The Albany Public Schools Foundation is making a splash with its annual iSwim for Kids fundraiser at the Albany Community Pool. Local students collect pledges and swim laps to raise funds that directly benefit their schools, as well as the Foundation’s classroom grants program. This is a FREE event for GAPS students—payment is not required to participate. Students who raise $40 or more will receive a commemorative T-shirt.

The Linn County Fair & Expo Center is hosting a Free Community Shred Collection Event—offering a safe, easy way to dispose of personal documents. Simply drive up, and volunteers will unload your boxes for shredding.
