Black History in Benton County Tour
Explore the untold stories of Oregon’s early Black pioneers during this engaging 45-minute tour at the Corvallis Museum. Led by a trained docent, the tour highlights the lives of three African-American individuals who settled in Benton County before Oregon became a state, shedding light on the broader context of slavery and its lasting demographic effects. This educational experience is recommended for teens and adults. Admission is free, but registration is required. The tour is presented with support from Oregon Black Pioneers and the Linn-Benton NAACP.

19th Annual Winter Rod & Speed Show
The Winter Rod & Speed Show rolls back into the Linn County Expo Center for its 19th year, showcasing more than 100 impressive vehicles from around the Northwest. From hot rods and muscle cars to custom trucks and bikes, this two-day event is perfect for automotive enthusiasts. Friday night will feature live music, and attendees are encouraged to bring donations to support the local food drive.

Call to Artists: The BIG Show of Little Art
Gallery Calapooia invites community members of all ages to submit their work for the 8th Annual “BIG Show of Little Art,” also known as the “8×8 Show.” This non-juried exhibit is free to enter, with one 8×8 piece allowed per person. Art submissions are due in person on Sunday, January 18 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The exhibit opens later in the month, celebrating the creative talent of the local community.
