The roar of engines is returning to the Willamette Valley in a major way this week. After a multi-year hiatus, the Albany/Salem Arenacross Series is set to launch its 2026 season right here in Albany, transforming the Linn County Expo Center into a high-flying dirt battleground starting this Wednesday, January 7.
This event promises a weekend of intense indoor motocross action, catering to both adrenaline-seeking spectators and local riders ready to test their skills on the track.

FOR THE FANS: A Weekend of High-Octane Action
If you are looking for exciting, affordable family entertainment to kick off the new year, the Expo Center is the place to be this weekend. The series features a mix of amateur talent and seasoned pros navigating a tight, technical indoor track characterized by steep jumps and close-quarters racing.
While practice sessions run mid-week, the main show heats up over the weekend.
The Main Event: Saturday night, January 10, is the highlight of the Albany stop. While heat races begin at noon, the lights go down and the energy ramps up for the Main Events starting at 7:00 PM.
Spectator Details:
- Affordable Entry: General admission is just $15 per person.
- Family Friendly: Kids aged 6 and under get in FREE.

FOR THE RIDERS: Your Chance to Hit the Dirt
The Arenacross series is open to riders of various skill levels, offering a rare opportunity during the wet Oregon winter to race on a controlled, dry track.
The action begins immediately with open practice sessions, giving local prospects a chance to learn the layout before points are on the line.
Practice Schedule: Gates open at 3:00 PM for practice sessions on both Wednesday, Jan 7 (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM) and Friday, Jan 9 (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM).
Special Opportunity for Young Riders (50cc): In a major boost for youth participation, FGR Equipment is sponsoring the smallest displacement class. Practice is FREE this Wednesday, Jan 7, for all 50cc riders. Furthermore, 50cc riders who participate will receive 50% off their race fees for the entire season.
Race Day Logistics for Competitors: Riders need to be ready for early mornings on race days.
- Registration: Opens at 7:00 AM sharp on both Saturday (Jan 10) and Sunday (Jan 11).
- Camping: For those traveling from out of town or wanting to stay on-site, the Expo Center has camping available.(Dry camping: $20/night; Electric hookups: $35/night). Showers are available on-site.
Following the Sunday races, the series will move north to the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem for the remainder of the season.
