For many people struggling with chronic pain, relief can feel impossible to find. Medications may offer temporary help, but they often come with unwanted side effects. Surgery isn’t always an option, and other treatments may not provide lasting results. Christina Lask, owner of Laser Therapy of Oregon, understands this struggle firsthand—and she’s made it her mission to offer hope to those who need it most.

Laser Therapy of Oregon

At her clinic near Jefferson, Oregon, Christina uses advanced K-Laser Therapy to help patients dealing with everything from post-surgical pain to long-term chronic conditions. “I have a Class IV K-Laser that I use to treat people who have pain, both chronic and acute,” she explained. “I also treat post-surgical patients to help them heal faster and prevent scar tissue formation. Anyone that has pain can benefit from K-Laser Therapy!”

But for Christina, this work is more than just a business—it’s personal.

From Chronic Pain to a Passion for Healing

Christina’s journey to laser therapy began with her own health struggles. For over two decades, she battled chronic pain that affected both her physical well-being and mental health. “It was relentless and overwhelming and contributed to my eventual depression,” she shared.

Everything changed when she discovered K-Laser Therapy. Not only did it offer her relief, but it also sparked a new sense of purpose. “When I learned about Laser Therapy, I realized I could not only help myself, but I could provide a needed service to others by reducing their pain and giving them hope that their life could be more fulfilling.”

That passion led her to open Laser Therapy of Oregon, where she now helps patients find the same relief that once seemed impossible for her.

How K-Laser Therapy Works

For those unfamiliar with K-Laser Therapy, the treatment is a non-invasive, drug-free approach to pain relief. It uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, reducing inflammation, improving circulation, and promoting tissue repair.

Christina has seen incredible results with her patients, including one older woman who had been suffering from severe knee pain. “She wasn’t really a good candidate for surgery due to her age, but her life was limited by mobility, and that was causing her emotional stress on top of her physical pain,” Christina explained.

After trying multiple other treatments with no success, the woman came to Christina as a last resort. “I treated her with a series of five treatments, and she ended up with no pain at all. None! She was so happy she started to cry,” Christina said. “She had lost hope and thought she would give laser a try because she was miserable and didn’t know what else to do. Those are the times that confirm my purpose in life. I am here to give people hope.”

Overcoming Challenges & Growing a Business

Although Christina is deeply passionate about her work, building a business wasn’t as easy as she initially expected. “Honestly, because K-Laser Therapy is so effective at reducing pain, I thought word of mouth would spread so fast that people would be knocking down my door and growing my business would be easy,” she admitted.

But shortly after purchasing her laser, COVID-19 hit, and everything changed. “People weren’t going anywhere or spending any money. The few people I treated weren’t spreading the word because they weren’t talking to others. Growing a business during COVID was like learning from scratch.”

Despite the setbacks, she refused to give up. “One thing I learned in the past was to never give up. As soon as you do, you lose,” she said. That determination kept her moving forward, and today, Laser Therapy of Oregon is thriving—helping people across the Willamette Valley live with less pain.

What Makes Laser Therapy of Oregon Different?

Patients who visit Laser Therapy of Oregon often comment on two things: how quickly they feel relief and how affordable the treatments are compared to other pain management options.

“Most of them are thrilled that it’s so affordable and that they can get relief so quickly,” Christina said. Unlike some treatments that require months of sessions before seeing progress, many of her patients notice improvements after just a few visits.

Beyond the effectiveness of the therapy, people also appreciate how soothing the treatment is. “People often mention that they feel like they had an hour-long massage in only 10 minutes when I laser their neck,” she shared. She even has a saying for it: “Feel Good, Heal Good!”

Exciting Plans for Expansion

With more people discovering the benefits of K-Laser Therapy, Christina is considering expanding to a part-time location in Salem. “I’m actually considering finding a space in Salem that I can work out of two days a week,” she shared.

Ideally, she would like to find a space inside a gym or a shared office with a massage therapist, making the therapy more accessible to patients in that area. “Right now, my clinic is right off I-5, near Jefferson, but being in Salem part-time would be easier on my patients that live in that area.”

For now, she continues to see patients at her current location and is always looking for ways to improve and expand her services.

A Strong Connection to the Local Community

Although running a business keeps her busy, Christina loves being part of the Albany area community. “I love that people are supportive and genuinely appreciate my passion for helping others,” she said.

When she does find time to relax, she enjoys simple pleasures—spending time with friends, visiting the Oregon Coast, or curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee. One of the books she’s currently reading, The Body Keeps the Score, ties directly into her work. “It reminds me of what I tell my patients—how, as they get older, they keep accruing new pain. Eventually, they can’t handle it as well as they used to. It’s better to address things as they come up so your life isn’t so burdened down.”
