Land acquisition and related project costs total $5.5 million. According to Cherriots, that amount covers the property purchase along with preliminary engineering and design, outside project management, title expenses, and transaction fees. Funding comes from Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund (STIF) formula and discretionary funding, federal Community Project Funding, and local general funds.
A construction timeline has not yet been announced. Cherriots says that information will be released during a future phase of the project, with updates shared through the agency’s South Salem Transit Center project page.
