The 2026 Keizer Summer Sounds Concert Series continues on Saturday, August 8, when the Jeanne Gregg Band takes the stage at the Keizer Rotary Amphitheater.

Formed in 2016, the Jeanne Gregg Band brings together a group of seasoned musicians whose collective backgrounds span blues, jazz, funk, soul, rock, country, and more. It’s that variety of musical influences—combined with a shared musical foundation—that helps give the band its distinctive sound.

And they’ve been keeping busy in 2026.

The band has spent the spring and summer performing throughout the mid-Willamette Valley, with appearances at The Barn at Hickory Station and Deluxe Brewing in Albany, Old World Deli in Corvallis, Tallman Brewing in Lebanon, and other local venues.

They also took the stage at Corvallis’ Red, White & Blue Festival on July 4, adding another community celebration to their 2026 schedule.

That makes their upcoming Keizer Summer Sounds appearance another stop in what has already been an active year of live performances around the region.

For Keizer audiences who haven’t encountered the Jeanne Gregg Band before, Saturday, August 8 is a perfect opportunity to get acquainted.

A Band Built on a Shared Love of Music

The Jeanne Gregg Band has gone through several iterations since forming, but its music continues to reflect both the individual tastes of its members and the musical common ground that brings them together.

Along with performing a varied repertoire, vocalist and composer Jeanne Gregg contributes original songs to the band’s catalog.

In 2019, the group captured its live sound with the release of Jeanne Gregg Band Live! on the Rooftop at Sky High Brewery. The recording caught the attention of the Cascade Blues Society, which described it in its October 2019 newsletter as “music to listen and pay attention to.”

Behind that music is a group of performers who bring decades of experience to the stage.

Meet Jeanne Gregg

Jeanne Gregg’s musical story began long before the formation of the band that now carries her name.

Originally from California’s San Fernando Valley, Jeanne began playing paying gigs in the 1970s. Her early performances took her to venues around Hollywood, including The Crescendo Club, The Troubadour, and Hullabaloo.

She later moved to San Diego, where she performed with a band called Half Moon.

Although Jeanne eventually stepped away from performing for a time to raise her children, she didn’t step away from music. Instead, she continued sharing her music through church before eventually returning to the local music scene.

It was through attending local jams that she connected with the musicians who would ultimately become part of the Jeanne Gregg Band.

Decades of Experience Behind the Music

The depth of experience in the Jeanne Gregg Band extends throughout the group.

Dennis Monroe brings guitar, vocals, and decades of performing experience across blues, jazz, funk, rock, western swing, and country. A gigging musician since age 14, his career has included 13 years touring with Micky Shannon and Runaway, co-founding the funk band Huzzah, and years of involvement in Oregon’s local blues and jam scene.

John Collison brings a wide-ranging background to the keyboards, having played jazz, funk, country, soul, and blues throughout his career. His musical journey has taken him from the Midwest to Los Angeles, Nashville, and Las Vegas before eventually bringing him to Oregon in 2014 and the Willamette Valley music scene.

Mike Grattan provides the band’s strong, steady bass foundation while also contributing backup vocals. His playing helps anchor the group’s varied musical influences and keeps the groove moving.

Behind the kit, Bobby Pamplin provides the rhythmic backbone of the band. His steady, in-the-pocket drumming works alongside Mike’s bass to give the rest of the group a solid foundation.

Together with Jeanne Gregg on vocals, these seasoned musicians bring a wealth of experience, varied influences, and a shared love of performing to the Summer Sounds stage.

A Willamette Valley Band Worth Discovering

Part of the fun of a concert series like Summer Sounds is discovering musicians you may not have heard before.

The Jeanne Gregg Band is a great example.

Its members’ individual musical journeys stretch from Hollywood and Nashville to Las Vegas and right here in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Along the way, they’ve accumulated decades of experience playing different styles, different stages, and for different audiences.

Now, those varied backgrounds come together in one band.

Their busy 2026 performance schedule also shows that this isn’t simply a band with a long history. They’re actively playing today, bringing live music to communities throughout the Willamette Valley.

For longtime fans, August 8 is another opportunity to experience the Jeanne Gregg Band live. For those hearing their name for the first time, it’s a chance to discover a group of veteran musicians doing what they’ve spent decades learning to do—connecting with an audience through live music.
