I wanted to say a big thank you for taking the time to explain to me the benefits of having an extended warranty even though I was buying a brand new fifth wheel even though I have purchased multiple units from Western RV as my family has grown. I also added the site service to the warranty as it is parked on a lot about an hour away from Airdrie as this was going to be a new camping adventure for the family.

Last summer we tried to start the ac unit but to no avail , the ac unit was not working. I called Western Rv and spoke to RJ and Dean. We went thru the normal testing check thermostat, fan working etc however the fans were working but the compressor was not turning on. The explained to me the site costs for the visit however I had the site repair extended warranty which saved me a few hundred dollars already for the technicians time. The technician came out and explained that the board had failed and he replaced it. The board then failed a short time later and another service call was made. The service guys came out and it was the control board in the unit. RJ and Dean worked on getting ahold of the manufacturer of the ac unit and before they approved a replacement they wanted to complete multiple tests. This was done and still no ac for the summer. We were now 3 weeks into this. Finally and a huge thank you to Western RV they located another ac unit of the same size and installed it on site for me as the manufacturer had still not deemed the unit as failed. The new ac unit was installed and we had ac again. I was very impressed the Western RV took the initiative to rectify the issue even though they were getting stalled out by the manufacturer.

The moral of this story is this service call should I had not been covered could have cost me between 7 and 10k with the parts and site service which is more than double what the extended warranty was.

This was a brand new unit and just like a car may have issues in the first few years , I would urge anyone buying an RV of any type to really consider getting the extended warranty as you can see the replacement costs for some of the failures could or have the potential to be half the cost of the RV.

A big thank you again to the service team for helping me out on this one!

Thanks again Chris the extended warranty really saved me on this one.
My family and I came in the view a trailer that was posted online for sale at the Airdrie location. After many hours on searching, it turned out it wasn't there. We looked at a few others and left awaiting a price. # days later and many follow up phone calls, we finally got one, as well as found the original RV we were looking for. Despite it being listed on many locations for different prices (the same trailer I might add, great consistency) the sales rep would not offer the lowest price it was advertised for!! WHAT!?! This is what YOU have it advertised for! It should not matter whether you are updating e-commerce listing, what would be your excuse if it was in print, it's 2017, it's basically the same thing and your business practices are awful (I might add we were looking to purchase for $1,000 less...I will never recommend anyone to your establishment.
I called service at 4:30pm on a Tue, and discussed a serious suspension issue on my 2015 5th wheel. I was advised to bring it to the dealership at opening on Wed morning and they would inspect it for service. I was given suggestions to ensure the fault did not get worse while driving it to the dealership. At reception I was greeted promptly and immediately techs looked at the issue with my trailer. Before I could make a coffee they had my rig on jacks, and began a fix in front of the service bays. I got an invoice opened and itemized parts were added plus actual time being worked on was charged. What could have ruined my May long weekend travel plans turned out to be a quick and inexpensive fix. Cant thank the service writers and more importantly the techs for getting me in/out in record time. The comment was made that safety items take priority and I think thats a great attitude. Good job all around.
Here is the short version of our story. Purchased a new Coleman 305 trailer. Paid for the PDI and even the extended warranties. Pick up trailer. 2nd weekend out we noticed water damage on the roof/wall of master bed room. Emailed pics and they said to bring it back for repair. Left it there for a week. Went to pick it up and they had done nothing. Said they would order part but sealed the roof so we could use it for the rest of the season. Told us to bring it back in the fall and they would do the repairs then. We opted for early spring. Booked the date to bring it in. Called 10 days prior to confirm. They had no idea that we were booked in and had not ordered the replacement panels/trim etc from the factory. Acting manager (who is the manager of All Star RV in St. Albert) said to bring it in to his shop (2+ hours away). We did and left it for a week. Went back and nothing was done (again). They wanted factory to repair it and factory said they (dealership) can do the repairs. Back and forth for weeks. Finally manager says he has found someone in Edmonton that he can send the unit to for repairs. Said parts are ordered and he will contact us when to bring it in. This was June 2016 (1 YEAR) after we purchased it. That was the LAST contact we ever had from them. Its been near a year now. Thankfully we were able to take the trailer to another authorized Coleman dealer and they did the repairs for us under warranty. This chain just passed the buck and couldn't care less about you after they get the money for a trailer. Avoid like the plague. I have all the emails saved if anyone is interested.
My wife and I just bought our new 2017 Freedom Express trailer from Dyan Holemans from the Airdrie location. We had been around to various RV retailers for a year in search of the right trailer and sales person. I work in sales myself and it was interesting to see how other RV sales people work. Dyan did an outstanding job showing us the trailer options and content. Her presentation skills were so good that it crushed the opportunity of any other dealer to get our business. Since the trailer we purchased is intended to be an extraordinarily long investment, we wanted to find the right dealer with the right trailer and the right service to keep us going back to. The arcade is a huge advantage to keep our kids busy when we return for service.
Everyone we dealt with from the receptionists to the Finance manager were excellent. I recommend this sort for anyone looking for a trailer. There were no dirty sales games played, the advertised price was the sale price, and the whole process was stress free. Good work everyone!
Went to buy a rv today. We sat down to punch numbers. Ya what a joke. Cleaning charge.....tire tax.....oh and these r.v.'s dont come with a battery! What??? If I spend $40,000+ On a trailer it better come with a battery. Then he said I need a credit card for a deposit. Thinking that's fine, as soon as we get a deal done he would put a charge on the card. Well I thought wrong..... he comes back with a $1000 off my card. I left after we ended up $190 apart on the price. Oh went and bought a different trailer from a straight up salesman an hour after I left your place. I will probably never set foot in that dealership ever again.

We had the misfortune of having to have or new 5th wheel serviced many times for warranty work. Every time we picked up our unit and returned home we found more items wrong and items not even addressed when our unit was in Leduc. The ladies at the counter were very pleasant but unfortunately when items needed to be discussed we were left hanging. I wouldn't recommend and have told many people of our horrible experience and couldn't be happier that our warranty has ended so we are not forced to deal at this location ever again.
You could have provided service. I called for some service at the recommendation of the SAL extended warranty service that was purchased for my trailer at an out of area dealer. Your staff would not even take my call because my unit was not purchased at Western RV. SAL said that western RV was on their list as a partner with the program I will notify SAL that they should not be or even deal with them as they are not interested in participating in the program. I am also considering an upgrade this year and will no longer consider Western as a potential vendor to even consider. I will also let those in the area know not to put any business toward Western RV for parts or any service.
just call and tell us what going on . we have called you 5 times with no replyi am going to say yes to would like a follow up call but i am not going to hold my breath phone no. 14033455119
Our salesman (not on list) was very pushy and not knowledgable about the product he was selling. When we were given incorrect information, there was no apology or admission of making a mistake. Three examples: We were asked repeatedly to finance the trailer after we said clearly at the trailer show we did not need to finance (the salesman said the dealership made money from the financing to help offset the sale price) We were told by Larry that the company rep had been spoken to and he said there was no spare tire with the model we purchased so we needed to buy one. Yet, in a later phone call, after we clarified that specs listed a spare tire, the tire was located on the trailer. The salesman recommended we not have the tv mounted because it was on a wall behind the shower. He suggested laying the tv on the bed while driving and set it up on arrival. He also said the price did not include installation. When we said we were cancelling the trailer purchase because of concerns about poor dealership service, the salesman said he there was no problem mounting the tv and the cost was already included. When I finally spoke to the sales manager about cancelling our purchase, he was rude and concluded our conversation with "we don't want your money!". Although we loved the trailer, we cancelled the order because of negative feelings we had about the service we had received.
My wife and I were in looking at travel trailers with the intention of buying a new rv within a month. After narrowing it down to 2 models and being promised the world from the sales team we started running into all the same problems you read about online. Once we asked about a price on the travel trailer we were told they would only give us a price if we left a $500 deposit. We were hesitant because of the reviews we read online where people had a hard time getting their money back. Once we received the cost of the trailer we started asking about what else we would be added to the total cost in the end. In every handout we received it stated a spare tire came included. When we got the final cost there was a charge for the spare tire on it. When asked about it the sales person just told us they hated the charge as much as we did but there wasn't anything we could do. We were then told it was law for us to buy a weight distribution hitch at the cost of around 400 dollars, when questioned about it not being law at all the sales person just gave us the run around. in short, we were laid to every step of the way, their own sales people were fighting over our business by putting each other down and saying we were being played by the other sales team members. by far the worst experience ever. I will never recommend them to anyone, i can only imagine what a nightmare the service would be if you ever needed any work done. your best bet it to find a honest dealer. They say family fun is number 1. If your idea of family fun is a horrible holiday get together then this place is the place for you! enjoy paying for all the gimmicks laying around the office and yard
DO EVERYONE A FAVOR,CLOSE DOWN WESTERN RV AND STOP RIPPIN' OFF CUSTOMERS. NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE!
Amanda in service was rude over the phone. When I asked it there was a charge for our inspection for insurance claim she said no. When we went to pick up our trailer there was a charge. When I asked her about that she said I didn't have your file in front of me when we spoke. Not impressed with that answer, no apologies either. Another time my husband went in and talked to someone in service about helping him with the light hook up as he was having problems. He WAS told that that wasn't his job. The gentleman we bought the the trailer from, was awesome. Won't be buying our next trailer here
They are not men/women of their word!!! We purchased a used RV from them and took the extended warranty only because we were told if we did not use the warranty, the money would be returned to us. By taking the extended warranty we were given a lower interest rate. We should have known there was something fishy when pending on how many years we took the extended warranty for the interest rate went down. We figured we would take the lower interest rate and at the end of the 3 years put the 3200$ down on the trailer and we would be a head of the game. Well the 3 years was up and the whole thing was a scam. Went in to talk to Larry Peterson, a financial manger who was not willing to do anything about it and stated it was unfortunate. He stated the guy who helped us 3 years ago was no longer there and he didn’t know what he had told us. I asked to speak to the dealership Manager but he wouldn’t even come out of his office. In speaking to the warranty company, the finances guys make commission on selling their product. I find it funny how we were lied to and then when I find out it was a scam no one is willing to talk to me! Stay away from Western RV!!!!!
I would like to thank alysha fedoruk and other girls at the service desk for the excellence service we received when having our service done kept us well informed on everything also all the staff in service that worked on our unit !! Excellent service!!! We would recommend your service to everyone way to go Leduc ?
This has been a terrible experience right from the beginning when I first attempted to contact a sales person about a specific trailer back in February...after numerous times of salesmen not calling back or providing quality service, we still proceeded with purchasing a trailer that we had researched and wanted for some time. Then began lack of service issues, we received conflicting warranty recall information and we were ignored numerous times when we contacted the dealership trying to have issues resolved. It took over 6 months after time of purchase before we were finally booked in for required warranty recalls and outstanding deficiencies with the trailer were addressed. Trailer was booked in 2 months in advance for repairs, after it being at the Nisku dealership for 2 weeks (the time I was told it would take to fix the problems) I called to check on progress. I was told they hadn't had time to look at it yet and would need at least 2 more weeks. I asked to speak with the service manger and still have not heard from anyone.
well i walk in to the Edmonton/Leduc location and there are a bunch of sales people just standing in the show room. not going to lie i felt a little uncomfortable it felt like we were a weaker animal and they were going to pounce on us. then there was a sales person not sure of his name but i do not find belching in the middle of a show room very professional needless to say we will not be back in your store and if we are and that man with the mustache is the sales person to be helping us we will turn right back around and leave.
Aniz Pisani has been the best sales rep at an RV dealership that we have ever experienced! There wasn't any high pressure and he worked hard to listen to our needs and made us feel like he was always looking out for our best interests and not just pushing us into "making a deal". Kim in finance was also great and helped clarify a lot of the financing side of things with all of the upsell warranty options. We couldn't be happier with our 2014 Jayco 19XUD (like new) purchase and this dealership because of the staff and received lots of appreciation from Aniz with thank-you calls, texts and mail making us feel like we are part of their RV Family. I highly recommend Western RV! Thanks.
