RV Repair and Service on our 17 year old Tahoe Lite Trailer
We purchased our Tahoe Lite trailer in 2000 from Western RV and it was only until recently we needed a major repair of a replacement of our RV jacks. Eventhough it took 7 weeks to find the new motor, we were very pleased on how Alysha communicated with us and reduced our bill to a fair amount based upon the long wait time.
Extremely disappointed/Very poor after sales Customer service
My salesmen was great but unfortunately once you guys get your money that's where all things good end. I was talked into the "piece of mind " front to back all systems checked and repaired $496 PDI inspection which sounds like it should be mandatory for any dealer to do before selling any trailer without an extra charge like most other reputable dealers do . But with everything that it covers I could be out a lot more money if I don't do it. Unfortunate once I did the walk through then got it home and get to go through things myself I soon realised nothing was actually inspected or fixed as the PDI list promises. Then when I confront them about the issues all you guys did is deny and give me the run around. It seems like the biggest issue is Dane the manager that unfortunately is rude, ignorant, doesn't care about customer service after the sale and will not honour conditions that are written on contracts. Its all about the sale for this guy. The latest response im getting as to why none of the PDI issues are being taking care of as per Dane is that the $496 option that i paid for ( and is even listed on the bill of sale) was an internal error and that i never paid for it, it just had to be listed on the paper work. What a scam you guys got going on. I specifically asked for that option and documented it and paid for it.
Warranty Work
Contacted Leduc Western RV for warranty work to which they do accept the insurance company for the unit. They would not accept my unit there because I didn't buy the unit from them.
I will not buy a unit from this location in the future or recommend any of my acquantices to purchase from Western RV - Leduc. Will also issue a complaint to the insurance company with my issues from this dealer.
Great purchasing experience
Kyle Holowaychuk was our sales person who helped us purchase our first RV in Kelowna. Kyle was very knowledgeable and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our purchase went smoothly. Even after our purchase Kyle was very helpful in organizing a few service repairs. A shout out to the service dept.in Airdrie as we are travelling across Canada and had to stop in Alberta for a few adjustments. We would highly recommend Western Country RV to others.
Service questions answered
Having bought our trailer in Airdrie in June, then traveling home to BC and back to Calgary area in August, we had a few questions about our trailer. Chico Ruiz met with us and answered all of our questions. He also gave us some tips and fixed a couple of small bathroom problems. He didn't rush us away, and we felt totally satisfied with the help that he gave us. We are happy with our trailer and extra happy with the service we received.
Amazing Place to Buy my First Motorhome
Was looking for a motorhome and visited all the dealers, found the one I wanted at Aldersyde Western RV. My experience there was awesome, Stopped in on a Sunday and Connie let us in a little early instead of us standing around until it opened. She showed me exactly what we were looking for, processed the paperwork quickly and sent us in to see Tom the finance man. It was a painless procedure and by the next week I was picking up my motorhome. The service dept was amazing as well, they took 2 hours and walked us through every part of the motorhome inside and out to make sure I knew how to work everything. I read some really bad reviews on this place but my experience was truly painless. They did not to try to sell me any extras I needed really need, showed me the options and let me pick what I want even tried to save me money. From the receptionist to Connie in sales, Tom in finance and the service dept, they all made me feel welcome and ensured I left happy. Would highly recommend purchasing your next RV from them. I know I will when I need a new one.
Over and above!!
We just purchased a new rv in Lloyminster and are totally impressed with the sales/service!! Not only are we more than happy with the unit, but the speed and care shown to us by Danika, Kim, Tammy, and Shane was over and above!!

We had a slight technical hiccup on our first trip out and Danika impressed us again and had a technician COME TO US to fix the problem!!

Even though we live over 800km away from Lloydminster, we will be dealing with them again (If we ever decide to trade in this beautiful unit) and will highly recommend to anyone to go see the team there!!!

A+++ guys!!! Amazing, over the top serve does still exist!!! Thanks!!
Blown away!
I buy a brand new travel trailer, I haven't had one day with out something failing, couldn't even get out of my drive way before losing a day of out with the family when I had to bring my never used trailer in because the water pump failed. Before I got off my drive way. Ok so get that fixed. Get out to my camping spot finally..... oh the out door speakers don't work..... lovely. Than not even a week in after only using my heater once the whole time, now my heater is hooped, is it possible to get a refund. Yours truly one unhappy camper!
Insurance Repair Work
After picking up my trailer in May after an insurance claim repair we where finally able to use it a few weeks ago. I found some issues with some of the repair work that was done. I am happy with the service itself but the quality check needs to be done better. We found the inside of the trailer dirty from what they did inside, found dirty hand prints on the out side and when we pulled our awning out the whole top underneath was all dirty hand prints, plus it leaks under the awning on the roller, this tells me that the seam was not sealed properly. The molding repair was not that great if you compare one side to the other. Will be phoning and booking trailer in for all this to be fixed.
Fantastic service wonderful product
Would like to say thank you to the wonderful staff at western RV particularly Kyle he found answers to all my questions showed so much knowledge of his products was friendly kind and I would highly recommend him and the team to anyone in the market for a new or used RV we love ours
Worst experience possible
After falling on a tough break we were unable to go ahead with the purchase of a trailer. With much disappointment I went into the Kelowna location to get my deposit back (which they had already took to the bank)when the business manager Rob stepped right up to my face and called me a liar and time waster. I was shocked. I had said we could no longer afford to move ahead with the purchase. He started yelling at me right in my face so close I could smell the cigarette smoke on his breath. This all happened in the showroom in front of all the staff and customers. I was so horribly embarrassed and very angry. Never in my life have I been so humiliated and disgusted by a person. This was the worst show of professionalism I have ever seen. He proceeded to say he lost 3 sales that week and we were all liars about falling on hard times and to take my deposit and buy somewhere else. It is unimaginable what he said and how he acted. Feel free to contact your staff at the Kelowna location to confirm his horrible antics. We were hoping in the spring we would be able to get the trailer we loved so much. Now we will not only never step foot in a western RV dealer again, we will go out of our way to discourage anybody from ever considering them as an option. I expect action on this matter from head office.

Service question answered
We were having service issues with an RV dealership in Calgary. They didn't seem to want to answer our questions regarding some servicing I can do myself. They would rather charge us an astonishing amount of money to do it. After still not getting the answers or the customer service we paid for in the expensive extended warranty I called Western RV...they sell the same trailer we have. After talking to Chico in the service department he looked into it and the next day had all the answers for us...outstanding service..Thanks so much for your understanding and professionalism. Sincerely Bev and Don
Good Good Good
Great service by Andy and all the team at western rv Leduc!
EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE
Rod at Okotoks Western RV is the best! Very honest and straightforward. He is VERY patient and he spent a lot of time explaining to us whatever questions we had, whenever we had it throughout the process. He tries to be funny which is nice too, but more importantly he is someone you can trust, which is why I recommend his team. You can deal with Rod with confidence. He got us a very good deal PLUS MORE! He will go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied. Thank you so much Rod for our outstanding experience!
Quick to make a sale, but no follow-up or service once you sign on the dotted line
After visiting the Edmonton RV show, we began our search for a 5th wheel travel trailer when we decided it was time to upgrade from our current unit. Sales staff and manager were very eager to ask and answer lots of our questions (manager extremely knowledgeable), and never put any direct pressure to put the sale through. However, some verbal agreements were made, IE the trailer you purchased will be exactly like the one you saw at the RV show. One of the items missing was a $300 TV from the entertainment system. It was not physically written in the agreement; we assumed it was included, as promised. When we questioned, we were told someone would look into it for us, wouldn't be an issue.

Sure enough, when we picked up the unit, it wasn't included. Inquired again, someone's not there to make a decision, we'll see what we can do, call back in a week. Eventually the pressure was put on, and we were denied, stating they moved lower on price and included an agreed up use piece of equipment, therefore received a deal, thus, any margin on the unit is gone, therefore, no TV, etc, etc.

We have yet to hear from anyone in regards to our satisfaction with our new trailer since, or any follow-up whatsoever.. Sign on the bottom line, take it away, you're problem now, thanks for your business, have a nice day. We have had a few very minor cosmetic issues and minor electrical issues, but nothing overly serious. Still, when you make such a large purchase, or any purchase for that matter, a little follow-up to show some sincerity goes along way. We understand its a busy season/time of year, but it takes 2 minutes to write an email or make a phone call.

While a $300 TV may seem like a pretty minor annoyance to complain about, it is. However, the point we are trying to make is the level of trust initially established to try and make a sale, and not living up to their end of the bargain, is both deceitful and unbecoming of any sales staff, management or otherwise. Stories like this haunt future customers and effect the integrity of the business, little by little.

As with any dealership, RV, automobile, realtors, or otherwise, everything must be in writing. Don't get dooped into believing anything otherwise, know matter the charm factor. If its not written down, it doesn't exist. Trust is in short supply these days, especially when someone is trying to take your hard earned dollars.
Kyle mark the whole team rocks
An amazing experience thanks too kyle, mark, jodie. Sorry for the names i forgot but your just as important. Great walkthrough. A small mistake was made they forgot to dump the tanks before delivery.. Probably because they hustle so f***n hard pardon the french. They came back asecond time took the trailer and emptied them and helped re level the trailer! These are the people you want to deal with saved thousand$$$
Worst possible service imaginable
One of the slides on my large 5th wheel purchased last year is not working properly and does not extend. It worked fine last year but I discovered on may long weekend it has an issue.
We had planned to leave on extended 6 week vacation in BC the first week of June. I called western in Leduc (where I purchased this $75k fifth wheel last spring after our house burned down during the wildfire) and was told I would have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. I told them that I was going on vacation and they informed me that they were busy and that was the earliest they could get it done. I understood as this is a busy time of year for RV service. I told them that I could push back my travel plans if this was the earliest it could be fixed.
I live in fort mcmurray and made the more than 5 hour drive down last night. When I arrived there this morning to drop it off I asked what time tomorrow I could pick it up. That\'s when I was told \"oh it will take 2 or 3 weeks to fix it\"
In complete disbelief I asked what is the point in having an appointment if it\'s just going to sit here for 2 weeks before you even attempt to fix it?
As if these types of complaints happened daily the lady went and got the manger. When I asked him the same question he said that the appointments are just so you can get in line to have your problem fixed.
I informed them that I was leaving in 2 days to go on vacation and the manger basically told me \"too bad\" he said it shouldn\'t take 3 weeks but definitely wouldn\'t be ready by Friday.
Absolutely no attempt was made for any kind of accommodation like \"well let me see how fast I can get it in or \"let me look at the schedule\" just the blank indifferent stare of a person who could care less about the extreme inconvenience this has caused us.
Needless to say I did not leave the trailer as I was not offered an even vague idea of when it would be done. Moreover, my pregnant wife and 15 month old daughter made the trip with me as our trailer is fully packed trailer is ready to depart for vacation. We had booked a hotel room to stay in tonight as we expected to be able to pick up the trailer tomorrow and go on vacation.
I\'m absolutely sure that they had no idea what an ordeal it is to get the trailer to them in the first place nor did they seem to even care.
It would have been very beneficial if they had explained that the drop off appointments have nothing to do with when it will be fixed, I don\'t believe this is too much to ask as some people travel great distances and have travel plans hinging around these appointments. Now we have to leave for vacation for 6 weeks in a trailer that has an inoperable slide, very nice.
I had planned on trading this trailer in next year as the one we have currently isn\'t ideally configured for our growing family. This is the 3rd trailer I\'ve purchased in the last 10 years.
My service experience with the Leduc western was so horrendously bad that not only have they lost me as a customer for new RV\'s, but I will not take my unit there for service and I will not even buy parts from them just on principle. I will also tell everyone that asks not to purchase an RV from western as their service is as poor as you could possibly imagine.
Sadly, this is 2 out of 2 very poor service experiences with western Leduc. Last year right after purchasing the trailer the fridge quit working. Not usually a life or death situation unless you happen to be living it with a new born baby during a mass evacuation right after your house burnt down. I had had to leave to go back to work the next morning so I went to western and asked if they could send someone to fix it at the Leduc lions campground, less than 5 min away.
I was told I would have to wait 10 days for an appointment and then bring it in as I did not purchase the remote service package. When i informed them that this was not possible as I had to go back to work and wider would not be able to bring it in I was again greeted with a \"too bad\" attitude.
From there I walked over and talked with the salesman who sold us the trailer. He was great and told me he\'d call me after he figured it out. He called me an hour later and had someone out the next day to fix it. This much greatly appreciated as it saved all the frozen breast milk my wife had spent countless hours pumping.
Both of these experiences have led me to the conclusion that the service department and especially the service manger does not care about providing even half decent service to their customers.
Given my experience with them there must be countless others who have had terrible experiences.
Don\'t buy a trailer here as the service is as bad as you could possibly imagine.
OUTSTANDING!!!
We happened to stop by All Star RV while on our way back to the dealership we "thought" we were going to buy an RV from; we were greeted very quickly, asked what we were looking for and pointed in a direction to start looking while they grabbed an associate for us. Very soon we were introduced to Tiago Oliveira. Tiago had a very honest, easy going approach, was not pushy or fake. He actual seemed to be interested in accommodating what we were really looking for. Within 45 min and having looked at four RVs we were at the desk signing papers. Further to this the All Star Team of Tiago, Cory, Cory and Bailey had us in our new RV and on the road within a few short days. I think the most impressive part of the experience was the follow up by Tiago, the sale was made but he continued to make sure all our needs were looked after, including researching a part that was damaged due to a bad road on our way home. Thank All Stars!!!! We are Happy Campers ;-)
Terrible
Any customer service would be better, any thing we need drags on for weeks then months. Terrible about getting back to you and terrible about ordering parts, just horrible.
