Good expect appointment and price
Seems pricy. Estimation was on full day job. It took you 30mn to do it but the final invoice is showing same amount. Also, the appointment was delayed due to work load without notification (I called, no one called me)
But the service itself is as expected

I had Western Construction install a new vapor barrier and seismic restraints on my home. They provided great service and the price was very competitive and they actually did more work at a better price than the other companies I talked with. Staff showed up on time, finished on schedule, cleaned up well, and was very respectful of our time and home.

From start to finish everything was completed to my personal requests and complete satisfaction. Although I had a bid that was considerably lower I decided to go with WCS. They seemed very knowledgeable and explained in detail what would be done, and it was! I am confident the job was done correctly and would use them again if the need arose.

Great work
My interaction with Western was great at every step and with each person, as my home was retrofitted for seismic protection. Western's plan for my home exceeded that of my structural engineer! As with many remodeling or retrofiting projects, there were surprising challenges, which the Western folks made every effort to overcome. Thanks to Western, I'm now proceeding to secure earthquake insurance, preparing for THE BIG ONE as best I can.

I am most impressed with WCS. They arrived when they said they would and completed the project quicker than the original estimate. The four person crew was efficient and polite and I liked how they cleaned up the project site when finished. I would, and I have, recommended WCS to my neighbors and friends. Serval of them have come over for a tour of the basement.
Honest & Professional Service
We had a couple inches of water in the crawl space under our house after this very rainy year. We had Western Construction Systems come and assess the situation. They were open and honest and provided an itemized bid for what could be done to address the water. They also talked to me about other ideas from other contractors and explained why not all those ideas made sense. They were prompt and professional with their bid. The workers that came to do the work below the house took great care to be sure that carpet and floors and walls didn't get dirty as they worked under the house and in the yard. They worked until the problem was fully addressed even when one particular situation provided an opportunity for a short cut, but they finished the job doing it the right way, not the easy way. I'd recommend them to my friends and family.

This is another successful project completed on time and within budget! Actually, I had a closing date fall before the scheduled project and Western was able to rework their schedule to accomadate the buyers and sellers closing. This company is amazing!!!!

From start to finish, the team at Western Construction did a great job installing a sump pump in my basement and then repainting the floor. Justin and Juan made sure I was informed of the scope and progress of the work each day, and they were great about taking the time to answer my questions completely. All crew members were professional and courteous. I can highly recommend Western Construction!
great workers
We had 5 workers show up to do the retrofit. They went right to work and worked all day. Very efficient and thorough job. Only 2 came the next day to finish up and they did all the clean up, which was very well done. Only thing that happened and not their fault: we were told by office staff that we didn't have to move much, just things from where the "fittings" are going to go". Well, when they showed up, they told us we had to move a LOT more than that!! One person wanted everything moved from floor to ceiling. We discussed this and we didn't mind that they were going to slice the paneling up at the top so they did that instead of removing all the paneling.. They did do other things while my husband and I scrambled to move everything from the places they asked us to. So there was no wasted time standing around. Remember that we've been in this house for 40 years, so the basement is totally packed with stuff!!! They didn't grumble that we should have had this done before they arrived, at least not within my hearing. So if you can imagine 7 people running around in the basement!! We did in fact move quite a lot out before they came and moved more while they were at lunch. All the workers were very nice and had good work ethics. I was impressed. The building inspector also said they did a good job and we passed inspection. This company came, gave us a bid, showed us brochures, told us what they were going to do, came & did their job, and cleaned up. They work in a very efficient manner. We are totally satisfied and will use them again for our next project. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the person who was in charge of the job at our house. (The other company who gave us a bid, had no brochures and didn't talk about what the job entailed.)
Disappointed/Rip Off
Here's the deal....this is my second job with you. The first one (Foundation Work) i was totally happy and over the moon. You were great, your price was reasonable and your work excellent. Your workers were fantastic.
The second project, not so good. ...It was bid at 5000...I should have questioned that right away when David said
"its a big basement." It's not, my basement (and house) is 1,200 sq feet. Not a big house in America. Had I thought about it , it was a crazy price. 2 guys for 2 days...do the math and I hope you are paying them well...but that's an exorbitant price for drilling and hinging. I never got a written estimate and I was super busy at the time and traveling. They came in did the job and probably they did it okay, I don't know...what i do know is the job site was a mess...no attempt at clean up, hinges and tools and debris all over the place. (Very unlike the previous job. )
I feel this job was grossly overpriced. Several neighbors have asked if I could recommend you guys and for earthquake retro fit I will say no.

Excellent work and customer service
In the recent heavy rains we discovered that our deteriorating rain drains were allowing water to run down to the foundation, and into the house through a crack in the foundation. We went to HomeAdvisor.com, which gave us 4 contractors. We contacted 3 of them, including Western Construction Systems.
Of the 3 companies, only Western would even schedule an estimate in a reasonable time. Of the other 2, one scheduled the estimate for a month out, and the other said they would try to swing by to have a look but never did.
Western gave us a quote on the spot, and although they were booked out for months, were able to work in our foundation repair within a couple of weeks. The whole engagement was handled and performed very professionally. We're very happy to have found them, and recommend them highly.
Customer service the way it is supposed to be
This was our first experience with a leaking concrete wall flooding into the basement. We called several firms and each one seemed to have their particular approach they advocated. David came out for a free examination and explained all the types of processes that we could do and gave the pros and the cons of each one. In a short 10 minute discussion I knew what was the right thing to do and most importantly why. David aligned our expectations and was honest in that this was a very busy time but he would try to work us in sooner if they had an opening. Within 2 weeks they called with an opening and were out the next day. The crew wanted to make sure we understood each process and showed me and my wife what was happening with each step. They cleaned up and even painted a short wall that was not included so that it would match the rest of the room. Just a great experience. Aligning expectations and customer service - it is what a great business does well and they did it to perfection. Most importantly it has rained 8 inches in the last 10 days and not a drop of water in the basement.

Western Construction's bid for our crawl space work included vapor barrier replacement, insulation repair, and (later) installation of a sump pump. Explanations provided were clear and complete. Because their offer more completely addressed the issues we were dealing with, at a reasonable price, we chose to go with Western and are very happy we did. The crew arrived on time and took care of the needed work efficiently.
