Reputation Management

Staying on top of your online reputation and what people are saying about your around the web is a critical piece of your local marketing strategy. This is known as reputation management.

Accessing Reputation Management

You can access your Reputation Management account by going to Reputation > Reputation Management and clicking the link at the top of the page.

The link will take you to our software partner. You’ll need to login a second time to access your business’ dashboard.

Connecting Google My Business

When you connect your Google My Business to your Reputation Management account, you unlock a set of features like review notifications and replying to reviews inside of Reputation Management. You can also give additional users, such as another member of your team, access so they can respond to reviews on your behalf, without having to give them direct access to your company Google My Business listing.

Note: If you have not claimed your Google My Business listing you MUST do that first.

Click here if you would like assistance claiming your Google My Business, you can purchase the service for a one time fee of $297.

Once you’ve logged in, select Reputation Management on the left hand menu.

From there you’ll see the Overview, and prompts to connect your Google account.

Once you have this screen up, make sure you have logged into your Google My Business Account open in the same tab. The system may prompt you to sign in if you aren’t already.

Choose the correct account.

Allow access.

If you are a manager on more than one account, you’ll need to select the correct location.

Make sure to hit the ‘Add’ button!

Once added, you’ll be redirected to the Overview tab.

Connecting Your Facebook

When you connect your Facebook to your Reputation Management account, you unlock a set of features like review notifications and replying to reviews inside of Reputation Management.

Once you’ve logged in, select Reputation Management on the left hand menu.

From there you’ll see the Overview, and prompts to connect your Facebook accounts.

Once you have this screen up, make sure you have logged into your Facebook business page open in the same tab. The system may prompt you to sign in if you aren’t already.

If you have admin access to multiple pages, you’ll need to select the correct Facebook page, and the click ‘Add’.

Once the account is added, you’ll be redirected to the Overview page.

Responding to Reviews in Reputation Management

Once you’ve connected your Google My Business listing and your business Facebook page, you can respond to reviews on those platforms inside of Reputation Management.

Here’s a video overview of responding to reviews.

On the left hand menu, find ‘Reviews’ and then ‘Manage Reviews’.

Select the review you would like to respond to and fill in a custom message, or select a response template below the compose box. Once you’ve created a response, hit ‘Respond’.

Instant Emails

You will receive email notifications for reviews your business receives. You’ll have the opportunity to read the review, and respond. They’ll look something like this.

Executive Reports

The Executive Report is sent to you via email automatically every month. The report includes an overview of your online reputation (reviews), mentions, listings, Google My Business statistics (if the account is connected), and social media statics.

Your Executive Reports give you a chance to review your online presence and guide your actions accordingly. No new reviews for the month? Upload contacts into WhirLocal to ask for your clients for reviews! Not much action on your social media sites? Post more! Few to no mentions? Write a blog post to publish on WhirLocal!
