Reviews

In the Reviews section of your dashboard, you can access all of the reviews gathered on your WhirLocal profile.

Title

The Title is the review title that was. These tend to be succinct.

Rating

WhirLocal uses a 1 through 5 star rating system. This field shows the rating that the reviewer chose.

Reviewer

This is the reviewer’s information. Please do not disclose their full name. All reviewer names are truncated to their last initial on the front end, but provided to you for record keeping purposes. Clicking on their name will open your default email application, allowing you to reach out to them directly with comments or concerns.

Sources

If you have a WhirLocal Pro package, you have the ability to gather reviews on third party websites, such as Facebook, Google, Zomato, etc. This shows you where the review was left, or is left blank if it was left here on WhirLocal.

We attempt to pull these reviews directly into your WhirLocal reviews feed. We are currently having technical issues with this feature and are working diligently to restore it.

Share

Click on any of the three (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) icons to share the wonderful review you just got on your social media accounts! This provides a simple avenue to share your best reviews without setting up an automation account like Zapier or IFTTT.

Image

Every review on WhirLocal generates a Review Image. When your reviews are shared on social media, this image is shared along with it. You are also free to click Generate Review Image and use it however you’d like.

Flag

No user or company on WhirLocal is allowed to edit, delete, or otherwise modify any reviews left on their business profile. If you believe a review has been left that violates our Terms of Service, please flag it for review.

Click on Flag Review, choose a reason for flagging, and give us a brief (but detailed) explanation as to why you’re flagging it. Note: Just because a review is flagged, doesn’t mean action will be taken against it. If we determine that a review does need to be removed, the reviewer will be notified that their review broke our Terms of Service.

After clicking File Report, the button will change to indicate the Review Flagged status. This means it has been assigned to our support team to investigate. The status will update again once any we have investigated the report.

Managing Review

In order to manage a review, you can simply click on the title of the review or See Details. This will provide you with an ease-to-consume breakdown of the review, quick links to the reviewer’s email and phone number (if provided).

Feature Reviews

By default, any positive review is set to featured. This means it will be displayed prominently on your business profile, until a new featured review takes its place. Simply toggle this on or off. All Reviews, even non-featured reviews, are visible in the Read More Reviews link on your profile.

Respond to Review

We have made the decision to not allow “comment thread” style responses to reviews, as they can quickly devolve for all parties. We have introduced a simple one-off response system. You may politely respond to the review, and you have the option to notify the reviewer when you save your response. This will trigger a company responded message to show up on the review and allow any visitors on your profile to read it.

Responding is a great way to engage with past customers, whether they were thrilled or disappointed. It can show prospective customers how you deal with a multitude of situations
