ILP Provider Convening/Off-site meeting
Communication could have been much better- I had to be the one to make the calls, send the emails, follow-up and even start the process once the event had been handed off to the catering manager after the initial conference event sale. Parking was a nightmare the first day due to other events (which we were not notified about nor told about an alternate place to park (which was at least a few blocks away and with all of the conference materials, flipcharts, carts, etc was NOT convenient--there should be a loading and unloading zone that was specifically identified we should have been notified about). We received several complaints about the parking and due to that issue our event started late. We also had complaints about how cold the room was. However, for the most part we received positive comments on the food (except for the 2nd day where the alternative to the meat lasagna was tofu). The room organization and facilities were good and the staff there was very helpful and attentive. Overall, I would have to give mixed reviews...some things went well, some not as much but had there been better communication I think some of the issues could have been avoided or at least addressed...

Great service, food, and facility!
This was our 6th year at the SCC for our 200 person, 2 and a half day conference. As usual, the service, food and facility exceeded our expectations. We'll be back next year!

I was involved with this event as a planner and participant. The Salem Conference Center is an outstanding facility. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience pleasant and memorable. They are professional, engaged and genuinely care that your needs are met. The facility is well maintained and offers a variety of services. We will definitely use the Salem Conference Center in the future.

My wedding day was a dream come true!
My wedding day was flawless! It was great working with and planning everything out with Sarah. The convention center supplied us with centerpieces, candy jars, scoops, napkins, and saved my husband and I so much money! Sarah had brilliant ideas and recommended us to places that had fun props that made our reception room fun and creative. With the help of Sarah and her staff, I had a beautiful wedding day to always remember. Sarah and her crew helped out with so many things! From setting up, decorating our guest tables, moving around rented props, helping us set up the ceremony room, and tearing down, their gracious help took a lot of stress off of this brides shoulders! The wait staff were friendly, considerate, and catered to our wants and needs. Everyone went above and beyond and I can't thank the convention center staff enough! My husband and I were very pleased with the service! The only thing that my husband and I would have changed would be the way our steaks were initially cooked, but it was our fault we weren't specific on how we wanted our food to be. The wait staff and chiefs were able to cook our food to our preference though, so it worked out for us. I would 100% recommended to any couple looking for a venue to get married at. Thank you, Salem Convention Center for one of the best days of my life!

The perfect place.
Every year we hold an end-of-year celebration for participating students in our programs. Last year was our first time hosting this event at the Salem Convention Center. We liked the location, the appearance, and the service so much that we decided to host it again at the SCC. From the initial contact the staff is very supportive and knowledgeable. The staff helped us plan our event from the set up to the food based on what we wanted to do, how many people we were hosting, and our budget. I love that we don't have to set up or clean up. They take care of everything. The only thing we will not order next year is their raspberry or strawberry lemonade. It was too sweet. Other than than, everything else was great. Thank you.
