D'Avonie on the Sales and Catering staff made life easy! We needed some clerical help, and D'Avonie meet and exceeding our expectations! She took the pressure off by helping so quickly and efficiently, so we could concentrate on our presentation. What a relief to have the help! We hosted our wedding reception at the Salem Convention Center in August of 2025 and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! Carole and Sarah helped us plan the event to make sure all the details were right. The dining and bartending staff took excellent care of our friends and family and the seamless connection with the Grand Hotel made everything so easy. We would highly recommend the Convention Center!
We had my son and new daughter in laws wedding reception in one of the board rooms. As soon as we walked in (on our initial search for a venue) we knew this was the place. It's beautiful decor was enough that no other decorations were necessary. They provided all of the table settings, they set up and cleaned up, cut the cake for us and prepared all the food. The food was wonderful and there were no complaints about any of the choices. By far, the best choice we could have made.
We held an advocacy training at the Salem Convention Center Grand Hotel Boardroom. After the training began we needed to add a microphone to the room. They were exceptional! When we came into the room before the meeting, the tablecloths all looked a little soiled, like they were left over from a previous group. They immediately changed all of the tablecloths without question and were very friendly during the process.
Sarah and the staff at Salem Convention Center were amazingly helpful, organized, and friendly. Our wedding was a success. Thank you to everyone for helping!!!
We hosted our industry conference with the Salem Convention Center in January 2020. They made the whole process so easy. The staff is very professional and quick to respond to all needs. The catering was delicious and helped us take our event to the next level. We were pleased with every aspect and highly recommend this venue.

We were blown away by the courteous, prompt service anticipating our every need. This attention permeated every level of staff. Any request, no matter how large or small, received full and immediate attention. In addition, the entire SCC was decorated in a festive holiday fashion. The meeting room we reserved was comfortable and well equipped, the food was excellent, the overnight room rates were reasonable, free parking a plus, and the staff service was outstanding. Sarah and her team were always available and responsive. Thank you for helping make our board meeting a success. We will be back!
The Salem Convention Center were extremely professional, and were able to cater to all of our needs. The service was second to none and we would recommend for anybody considering doing an event in Salem.

Thanks to the incredible staff at the Salem Convention Center, our annual convention was our most successful and highly praised event in recent years. The level of service they provide is second-to-none. The staff is courteous, warm and helpful. I would highly recommend using the convention center for all your conference, convention and event needs.
Had our business meeting here recently. Everything was set up just as we wanted and needed. The food was wonderful and the staff that was with us all day were very professional and prompt with whatever we needed or asked for. A great experience overall!
The entire staff at the convention center did a fabulous job. They were quick to respond to any last minute changes. They were eager to help. They were friendly, professional, and a wonderful group to work with. Hosting a fundraiser can be stressful and working with the convention center as the venue reduced my stress tremendously! I can’t recommend this organization enough. They went above and beyond to help and support our event!!!!!
The Salem Convention Center staff was outstanding. They have hosted the Hispanic Heritage Month Breakfast celebration for 10 years now and they have been outstanding the entire time!
When we learned our dance recital was double booked at the local theater, we contacted everywhere in Salem for an alternative venue. Tina worked magic to keep us on the same weekend, and on budget! The staff set up and tore down, they were helpful and everything was perfect! We are beyond grateful to SCC for a terrific recital.
My now husband and I decided to come to Oregon for our wedding all the way from PA, on account of the majority of our family being from here. We decided to have our small wedding in the Marion Room at Salem convention center. Sarah, the catering manager, was exceptional throughout the whole process and never left me with any questions unanswered. They did everything they could possibly do to make sure our wedding day was amazing- and it was! I highly recommend staying here and also hosting your event here! The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. 10/10!

The management and staff at the Salem Conference Center are fantastic and really do a great job. The facilities are really nice and access to parking and entry is relatively easy.
We recently held a reception and board meeting at the Salem Convention Center. From start to finish, we received excellent customer service. The meeting space and food was exceptional. We will not hesitate to return.
