I visited the center for a hobby show in July. Despite the heat outside, the open bay door and very high ceiling kept the inside of the center very cool and comfortable. The staff who worked the show were very nice and helpful and just a mile or so away was downtown Salem which had plenty of food places to choose from.
It's a lovely facility. I like all the different art pieces in the building. Also connected to the Grand Hotel, which is convenient.
Just enjoyed Marion Polk Food Shares annual Chef's Night out fundraising event and used two floors of the center. It's good having the evaluator even though it would be better by the grand staircase. The views are good of the riverfront area, too. Underground parking fills up quickly and sometimes you can't use it because of the hote
this is a beautiful facility with lots of potential to host many events. the only two things I wish could change... parking is super limited so if it is a big event you may be walking from a ways away. and it is a union...More

Not as large as most convention centers. But both downstairs and upstairs have rooms that can be configured for smaller or medium sized groups. Have been to diners, conventions and presentations of varying sizes. all well accommodated

I did a middle Eastern party here and the food was well done and they really researched it and it was delicious!
