A+ company and technician, Joseph Knight
Thank you to Hy-Pro and technician, Joseph Knight. Work to fix my (basement) main water shut off valve was completed perfectly and I am so thankful for the expert help I received. Issues arose with trying to work around condo regulations, but this was no fault of the Hy-Pro company or Joseph. Everyone was so patient and this helped me to get the roadblocks cleared so that the work could be done. If anyone has Joseph as their technician, I believe they will be extremely lucky. He is knowledgeable and he works carefully and efficiently. Once finished the work, he leaves the area as clean as when he arrived so there is no mess left behind. I will be passing along the name of this company and technician to anyone I know who requires plumbing help.

Excellent response and communication from HyPro Brantford. Plumber who arrived, Masharo (apologize for spelling), was very professional and solved the issue quickly with a very pleasant attitude. I would recommend them for any plumbing issues you have.

Had a kitchen sink pipe leak. called Hy Pro as I had used them once before. Awesome on time response, workmanship and up to date etas by their office prior to Brandon arriving. Would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.
Great work changing out sewage pump.
Our old sewage pump stopped working. We called Hy-Pro for help. They sent out a technician within an hour. The technician, Michael Cordeiro assessed the problem immediately. The old pump needed changing out. He gave some prices on new pumps and we got a discount for being seniors. We could only afford the 2nd to cheapest pump. But when Michael returned with the pump he brought a more expensive pump, bigger and better then the pump we ordered. At same price. Great. Michael changed the pumps out, no problems, he knew exactly what to do. Great work, neat, tidy, very professional. Sealed up and secured everything with tie wraps and sealant. Left place tidy, secure, no bad odour. Hy-Pro is a very professional company with highly skilled technicians. Great job. I give a 6 star rating over 5. Thank you!
Great service till they have your money
Return phone calls and emails when trying to resolve outstanding issue. Have a sewer pipe re-lined at reasonable cost. Unfortunately in order finalize building permit they needed confirmation that product meets Ontario Building code and was installed as per requirement. 3 months later and they have stopped responding and can never reach anyone in the office. Disappointed in after payment service
Worst EVER Service.. WASTED 3 days Waiting for a QUOTE!!!!
WORST EVER Service. For the past 3 DAYs my time WASTED waiting for someone to come and give a quote for Sump pump redirection- for 3 days i get called and made promises about being on an urgent list first thing in the morning someone would be there to provide a quote. ALL Empty Promises.. tonight a Plumber called at 7:45PM saying he is 15 minutes away according to his GPS.. How are you going to give a quote for an OUTSIDE job when its Dark and you cant see.. ..another load of CRAP, because 45 Minutes later NO SHOW.. what a load of CRAP.. Don't waste your time.. Get the job done elsewhere. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EVER Service... Thanks you for letting me keep my money and not wasting it on you .. Thank you for actually SHOWING me i would be making a HUGE MISTAKE if i had receive a QUOTE from you...
EXCELLENT SERVICE
Dave was the service technician that came, He was very personable and congenial! He had to move things around and get into some awkward space but he did it all with a smile on his face, and then graciously put it all back. This water leak from below the meter was the final end to a lengthy process. Dave contacted the region to have the water turned off at the front of the property, and was here when it was turned back on. He is one of the finest service people I have ever had to come to my home. I sincerely appreciate everything he did.

Philip was amazing!!! Thank you. I have an older home and the kitchen sick was clogged. Was not an easy job however he did excellent, great friendly service. Definitely will recommend to anyone and will call again!
Highway robbery
I had a small pinhole leak below the shutoff in one copper pipe in upstairs bathroom. 10 minute job max. Was not an emergency job so turned off water and booked the night before. They won’t tell you price on phone and no hourly rate at all. Guy shows up and says $399.99 plus tax yet can’t defend how he came up with that price. I told him politely to get out of my house. Even he admitted price was way too high for a job that size and he understood. So I called Hammond plumbing and they will do it for $150/hr. Will never call or use Hy Pro again.
Friendly, Knowledgeable, Efficient.
I believe out Plumber’s name was Eric. He performed a lot of top quality work in a very short time span. His knowledge was superb, His attitude was very positive, he was extremely friendly, polite, and a damn hard worker. I would highly recommend this young gentleman to any family and friends of mine. Keep up the great work!
AMAZING Service
Jeremy was very pleasant to deal with, he was extremely helpful and took the time to explain the work he did. I appreciate the guidance he provided and that he recognized some of the challenges we had and displayed amazing customer service. Great job BUT.....
The repair work was excellent so no problem with that but when I looked for my linens and tablecloths (some were heirlooms) they were no where to be found. I phoned the office and was told that "you must have missed placed them". I was not believed that they were missing. Apparently, the guys bagged my things in one of their bags so my assumption is, it was thrown out by mistake as trash.
A customer does NOT appreciate being told in an indirect way that they are lying.
To this day, I still have no bag of linens/tablecloths and have to replace all. It was probably worth close to $400 of purchased items.
That is my only complaint.

Poor plumbing service
A man named Matt came over yesterday. Charged us $229 (-$18 senior discount) did not fix anything. Only re affirmed that a part was broken. He did not have the tools to fix it. He stayed for about 15 mins. Would never recommend. Charging that much, for literally nothing!
Far above expectations!
The problem was a gurgling bathtub and water in the sink that would not drain properly. We expected a venting issue - one that might involve going into the attic or onto the roof to investigate the stack or worse, cutting a hole in the ceiling of the room under the bathtub. To our great relief, it turned out that a large wad of hair was pulled out of the sink drain that was impeding the venting of both the tub and sink. Eric took the time to ask lots of questions and thoroughly investigated and both problems are now solved. I will be calling him for all of our future plumbing needs!
Not so great service - so disappointed
Had a low water flow problem out of our laundry tap so based upon the reviews I chose Hy-Pro. They came and installed a new tap, they departed before I had a chance to check the work. Noted that the new tap only flowed about 70% versus all of my other house taps. I asked them to return the next day to re-examine this problem, but refused to do so unless I again paid them for a service call. Already paid over $600. so decide to give up. Guess not everyone gets "great service".

Great Service
I had Gerald Rennie out to fix some plumbing problems from another contractor and different plumber. He was able to fix the issue to my satisfaction, very personable and professional. The only thing I wish is hy-pro would tell the base fee before someone comes out, was a little shocked at a $200+ service call fee.
