I enjoyed my recent vision checkup at Eye Care Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Stice and his assistant were knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. They answered all my questions and treated me with care. Everyone from start to finish was very professional and kind.
Love my Doctor, his manner , knowledge and efficiency. Front desk a little taxed it appeared as efficient and in the end helpful but not cheerful or warm. Waited 45' for my appt. Doctors assistants were good, but one made a poor copy of my paperwork and front desk had to copy again so I could take original with me. I ended up being there an hour with only 5-10' in the actual exam room! I'm not sure how to rate because my time is important and as they say Money too. I'm rating the Doctor high...but they need to realize 45' is unacceptable.
It was very efficient. From exam to glass selection to delivery it was very impressive.
It’s a warm welcoming group and at the same time experienced and professional. The doctor himself is warm & friendly and does an excellent job of putting one at ease.

I had a piece of metal in my eye. Had an appointment right away and the staff was professional and very nice to meet. Dr was amazing and how he explained everything and took great care of my eye. Definitely would recommend to anyone else who needs eye care.
I go back every year because they are very thorough and friendly.
I have glaucoma so had this appointment to get a pressure check on my eyes. Both eyes were at the same pressure as the last time I had them checked.
Staff is amazing, very helpful and friendly my glasses were ready sooner than expected. I will be referring all my family and friends
The team really knows their stuff, from the doctors to the examiners to the front desk. Visits have been quick with little waiting, staff is knowledgeable and efficient, and they listen to what I want and need. Great people!

I am a 62 yo who ended up benefitting from cataract surgery. Pre-op in July, surgery on successive weeks in August with good clinical outcomes (20/20 bilaterally). I have no issues with the Doctor or staff's bed side manner or anything regarding the clinical side of this procedure. I do have an issue with the related business/financial side. I was told from the start that I would qualify for insurance coverage. At no time was the total cost of the procedure explained to me. The form that is given to the patient prior to surgery only lists the Surgeon's fee and makes reference to the surgery center. No reference is made regarding the anesthesiologist fees. I paid the physicians fee in advance but on the day of the procedure the Salem Laser & Surgery Center demanded payment ($1,000) or the surgery could not be performed. This happened again on the subsequent surgery day for the second eye. At no time were separate anesthesiologist fees mentioned which ended up being nearly another $1000. Listen, everyone knows that healthcare services have a cost. I also know that everyone's insurance coverage is unique to them. What I do have an issue with is that Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons takes no responsibility for explaining the full cost of the procedure to the patient in advance so that they can be fully informed.
The staff and Dr. Stice, whom I have been seeing for quite a few years, couldn't be more helpful or courteous.
I've been going to Dr. Paluska for years - love his upbeat attitude and always feel that I get a thorough exam!
Dr Pulska and his assistants do a very good job of asking questions and examination to make sure all is well with my eyes and health
