5-Star Review of Tomson Burnham

I highly recommend Melina, who helped me buy my first home. As a first-time buyer, Melina was exactly the agent that I needed to help me feel confident about my home search and purchase. My search took months because of my own narrow criteria and budget. During that time, Melina met me at every house I wanted to see and gave me her candid assessment of each property. She steered me away from many houses that would've been a bad fit for me, and she never pressured me to settle for the wrong house. And once we found the right one, she shepherded me through the transaction with her trademark steadiness and practicality. The purchasing process had plenty of stressful moments, but it was reassuring to have Melina and her years of experience on my side. And her support didn't end on closing day either. She’s been a great resource for all those new-home tasks like changing locks and getting carpets cleaned. I'm grateful that I got to work with Melina to purchase my first home.

Melina worked with my family for *MONTHS*, meeting us at property after property to find something that met our unusual demands. She was professional, hard-driving, and embarrassingly-candid every step of the way. She worked with professionals who helped us analyze each property, negotiate important concessions on our selection, and make improvements on the property we finally selected. And Tomson Burnham's follow-up has been unbelievable, with regular market analyses and personalized feedback on our neighborhood. Next time I buy a house in the Willamette Valley, I'll be seeking out their guidance.

Returning Client - We had a previous positive experience with Linda Rabe, with Tomson Burnham based out of Salem, OR, and why we decided to use her once again. We signed a contract to use her services to buy another home in early August 2025 and within three weeks we had found a place, she negotiated an equitable deal for both sides, and we closed on September 2. We could have closed August 29, but we chose to close on the 2nd. From start to finish it took us 3.5 weeks. Linda and her team are efficient and absolutely amazing and always stay on top of things. Linda is one of the most honest and hard-working professionals that we have ever worked with. She understands how special buying a home is regardless if its your first, 3rd or 4th. Linda doesn’t make it feel like just another transaction and why she works hard to help create a positive and lasting memory for her clients. We found a home that was about 100 miles outside of her geographic area and she did not make excuses or complaints about going. She was happy to arrange several viewings while in the area and made sure that we had all the information we needed. No awkward moments. Linda was transparent and very thorough in her explanations throughout the entire process. She always made sure that we had answers to all our questions within hours. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced with strong communication skills. Never leaves you wondering or guessing on the details. We will continue to use Linda and her team for all our real estate needs in the future and why we highly recommend her.

We were so grateful to have Kyle’s guidance and assistance throughout the home buying process. His knowledge of the local market - historic homes in particular - was invaluable! Between being a challenging market and also new to Oregon, there were so many opportunities for us to make expensive mistakes - but Kyle was always diligent in his research and forthright in his advice. We felt confident having him represent our interests throughout the process. He recommended excellent professionals to do our inspections and handle repairs prior to our closing. Kyle was a good communicator at every stage of the process. I would definitely recommend working with Tomson Burham. We found the perfect home for us and believe this team saved us money in a tricky market. #TeamTomsonBurnham
