For 20 years we have had excellent service from Salem Heating & Sheet Metal, Inc. They installed the original gas furnace and air conditioning and were always there when ever service was needed. Each call was met with prompt and professional attention. Most recently we had a new Lennox 90K Gas Furnace-98% efficient installed and the superior service continued. I want to thank you all for an excellent job done and look forward to many more years together. I would highly recommend this amazing company to any one looking for only the very best in service and honesty.
Salem Heating & Sheet Metal has serviced my home for 8 years now. They installed our initial A.C. years ago, and recently installed two Fujitsu Mini-splits in our bedroom and home theater. Their products and pricing were under the competition, and every install I've had thus far has been great. The crew was easy to work with, diligent, paid attention to details and were just a joy to have around. Their sales team listened to my problems with cooling our rooms, and recommended the best solutions, without any of the typical pressure, or up-selling you might get from other salesman. They didn't just take one look around...then offer a product. They checked everything, to see if there were other options, before I took the plunge into our new mini-splits. Overall, it was an enjoyable, easy and painless installation, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to improve their homes cooling or heating. After 8 years...everything is still going strong!
We installed a new furnace and thermostat in October 2012. There were some initial warnings sent through the monitoring system and Salem Heating was quick to call and send a tech out to check. Eventually it required a replacement of a part and this was done quickly to resolve the issue. Next came problems with the Wi-Fi in the "new" thermostat and it should be noted, this was one of the first they installed. The knowledge level for this new unit I would say was low on the part of Salem Heating. With this said, they quickly started reading and calling Lennox and soon afterwards this problem was corrected with Salem Heating installing a Wi-Fi boaster. All this work was completed by guys who were most friendly and professional. The one thing that stands out about Salem Heating, Scott and the guys will go whatever distance to provide quality service with their only goal making you the customer happy with their product and their service!!! And the new heating unit...WOW!!! So much better than the original unit and it all started with a great guy who came and inspected our current system at the time and then "explained" all the choices we had in a new unit. Once decided they then helped with the Costco discount as well as the tax rebate form needed for our taxes. Simply put...totally happy!!!
I had need for a HVAC inspection and some of the ducts under the house needed attention. I called Salem Heating and Sheet Metal for an estimate. I decided to accept their bid and when the service man arrived at the job, he went right to work, did the inspection,, and then proceded to fix the ducting and even offered to take photos of the new duct work for me as I needed to show the work was done. The serviceman was polite, on time, did a great job and stayed within their bid and cleaned up all the used material. I will not hesitate to call Salem Heating and Sheet Metal again and refer them to my friends. KUDOS Salem Heating and Sheet Metal you have set a new benchmark for great customer service in the field of Heating and Cooling.
We replaced both our furnace and air conditioner. After expressing concern about the size of the air conditioning unit (we didn't want it to be any bigger and take up more space on our patio walkway), Salem Heating (Kyle) was the ONLY company to recommend that we relocate the unit to the other side of the house. So simple, yet SO effective. Our back walkway has been opened up AND when the unit does turn on, we don't hear it when relaxing on our patio. Not that we would hear much -- both the furnace and air conditioner are extremely quiet. Installation was handled by Abe and Tony -- both very professional and willing to answer any questions we had. Our neighbors have already asked and we have recommended Salem Heating to them! Thank you for being fair in your pricing, professional in your installation, and patient with our many questions.
They provided the best quote compared to two other companies in town, and provided better equipment. The installation process was excellent, and our house is warm and cozy. I'd recommend Salem Heating to anyone that crossed my path and needed heating/cooling work.
The title says it all. This company has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. I told the sales team what I wanted, they worked with me to get me exactly that, were fair on the price, and honored thier commitements. OMG I hate to say it, but after dealing may contractors over the years, that actually felt novel! On top of that, installation crews were curtious, had real personalities and a drive to ensure I knew what was going on to the extent I was interested, were on time, and briefed me at the end of each day on what they accomplished, what they had left to do, and when they would return to do it. It was as if each person I dealt with really understood the work they were doing, knew it was important to me, and was there to ensure I got what I expected. To me and I expect most people, that is truely "Best in Class" service and value. Without reservation, I would highly recommend Salem Heating & Sheet Metal. Now if I could just find a car mechanic that did as good a job ...
When we needed a new gas furnace, you got right on it! Kyle and Scott gave us a good range of choices, and worked with us to get just what we wanted. The installation was scheduled without delay. The installer, Ed Morris, was great to work with--great personality and a true artist of his trade! Overall, a great experience!
Very satisfied customer. SHSM went above and beyond when we had problems with defects in the manufacture of our new furnace. Brooks replaced the furnace and all is well. Very professional and careing company to do business with. We definitely reccommend SHSM and will continue to contact them first with any heating/cooling needs.
I wanted to take time to let you know how much I enjoyed having your firm do our new heating system, we had unusual requirement, Wood Furnace, and steam humidifier, all working together with a heat pump, this system works better than I could have imagined, Steve Markham came out and did an estimate and suggested some improvements, that have since made a huge difference in the comfort of the home and despite adding this extra work that other firms did not mention the bid was less than the other two bids by over a 1000 dollars, the steam humidifier and the wood furnace worked beautifully, the Installers, I believe Ed and Mike did a fabulous job, what professionals, they added dampers, throughout the system so it could be balanced for the way our home is built, I can't say enough about these people and the company they represent. I Highly recommend Salem Heating for any heating or air conditioning job.

I just wanted to let you know how pleased my wife and I are with our recent furnace installation. All of the people I talked to with your company were very helpful, polite, and accommodating. They truly seemed concerned that we were getting the best product and installation possible. And of course I didn?t give them much time; when I said I wanted it before Thanksgiving I really wasn?t too optimistic that that could happen, but they made it happen! The main thing we notice in our home now is the quiet. The old furnace would shake walls when it came on, and now the loudest noise is the air rushing through the return grate. They even looked at that and adjusted it some, so it is hardly noticeable! And they spent some extra time trying to adjust heat between the rooms, always asking if we thought it was satisfactory. Overall, a very efficient and pleasant experience! I?ll write/call you again in 2 or 3 months so I can brag about the Natural Gas savings that I?m sure I will see! Thanks again, and let the people involved know how much I appreciated their efforts

We had the furnace system replaced in our home. Several problems arose during the installation, requiring two full days to complete the work. The two employees worked non-stop for two days, with little break, to get the heating system up and running. They took great care not to impact the interior of the house, plus left the areas where the duct work passed through the walls in better shape then prior to the work. Please pass on our appreciation to both men. Also, thank the individual who did the initial assessment for his honesty in explaining our alternatives and the possible outcomes. The product installed works quieter and seems to be more efficient. So far so good. Thanks again.
Salem Heating has done all of the heating and A/C work on our two retail stores, and our last three homes. They are truly the professionals in town. They put in a state of the art system in our current home, and it is fabulous. No problems whatsoever in 11 years. Highly recommend them for both commercial and residential installations and service.
