This is my second year working with the Salem Convention Center for our large yearly conference. The staff goes over and above trying to accommodate and make everything perfect and wonderful. Thank you so very much! You are the best and make everything so easy!
Excellent staff and venue!
My wedding day was flawless! It was great working with and planning everything out with Sarah. The convention center supplied us with centerpieces, candy jars, scoops, napkins, and saved my husband and I so much money! Sarah had brilliant ideas and recommended us to places that had fun props that made our reception room fun and creative. With the help of Sarah and her staff, I had a beautiful wedding day to always remember. Sarah and her crew helped out with so many things! From setting up, decorating our guest tables, moving around rented props, helping us set up the ceremony room, and tearing down, their gracious help took a lot of stress off of this brides shoulders! The wait staff were friendly, considerate, and catered to our wants and needs. Everyone went above and beyond and I can't thank the convention center staff enough! My husband and I were very pleased with the service! The only thing that my husband and I would have changed would be the way our steaks were initially cooked, but it was our fault we weren't specific on how we wanted our food to be. The wait staff and chiefs were able to cook our food to our preference though, so it worked out for us. I would 100% recommended to any couple looking for a venue to get married at. Thank you, Salem Convention Center for one of the best days of my life!

Every year we hold an end-of-year celebration for participating students in our programs. Last year was our first time hosting this event at the Salem Convention Center. We liked the location, the appearance, and the service so much that we decided to host it again at the SCC. From the initial contact the staff is very supportive and knowledgeable. The staff helped us plan our event from the set up to the food based on what we wanted to do, how many people we were hosting, and our budget. I love that we don't have to set up or clean up. They take care of everything. The only thing we will not order next year is their raspberry or strawberry lemonade. It was too sweet. Other than than, everything else was great. Thank you.
I work for the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Transformation Center, and our office hosted a 7-hour event at the Salem Convention Center on 5/9/17 called the Innovation Cafe. Leading up to the event, our contacts at the hotel were very helpful and prompt in getting back to us about our event needs - including setting up an onsite walk through. During the event, convention center staff was very professional and responsive. There were just two minor concerns that we wanted to express: 1) Breakfast was to be set up by 7:30 am, but when we arrived for setup we were told that 8 am was the planned setup time. However, once event staff were made aware of this error, they moved quickly to make sure that breakfast was set up quickly. 2) I think because of the confusion over the start time, an A/V staff person arrived later than we would have liked to confirm setup. For this type of event, it wasn't a big deal, but for larger events (w/ more complex A/V setups) it might have been an issue. Outside of that, we were very pleased with our experience using the Salem Convention Center for our event - and will definitely try to host our next event in Salem here. Thanks, Tom

The staff worked with us all the way through planning, changing, and carrying out the events of the day. People are still raving about the food. And the venue was accessible and inviting. We will be back next year :)
We held a reception at the convention center for our Credit Union members and the state's Legislators. The staff made everything quick, easy and polished as we prepared for the event. The level of service on the night of the reception never skipped a beat. My association works with a lot of venues for a variety of events. We appreciate that the Salem Convention Center brought a "A+" level of service to our event. We'll be back!
The Salem Convention Center always takes great care of us whenever we have an event. They are prompt to respond throughout the process and always ready to go the extra mile to meet our needs. Their staff is fun, friendly, and professional!
Staff at the convention center were very responsive and attentive to my needs. Had three events in a day and a half and the staff was great. Any needs or requests that i had were quickly and efficiently addressed and filled. Would recommend this location to anyone. Good rooms, food, staff and hotel accommodations. I wish all of the locations I hold the annual conference at were this good.
A fan in the bathroom to start with I shared a room with some co workers and was so embarrassed I asked the front desk about the fan and was told no there is no fan I asked if they had some spray and was told no was not very impressed with their lack of effort to even offer a solution I will bring my own .....the bed was so uncomfortable and was sore all the next day as well as tired second time staying here and was not very happy this time also 4 grown women shared our room so next time I ask for a couple extra towels I would appreciate it if the request is honored no one in my room showed any interest in taking your towels
The Salem Convention Center is a wonderful venue to host a multi-day conference. The staff goes above and beyond to accomodate your requests, the food is superb and the facilities are top-notch. The only downside is there is limited internet access for AT & T users and the parking can be a challenge, but even those two issues had very little effect on the outcome of our conference. Our attendees walked away pleased and impressed. We look forward to hosting our conference here in future years.
We have held the Salem Health Foundation's annual Donor Appreciation dinner at the Salem Convention Center for many years. Sometime we've had issues with slow/late service; quality of food; parking...but this year, everything for our event was perfect. Everyone commented on how good the food was (our guests could choose between the wild salmon; pork tenderloin or vegetarian pasta). The service was amazing. Not only was it on time and quickly delivered, but our wait staff offered to bring glasses of wine to our guests at their table so they wouldn't have to get up. When we made a last minute addition to add ice team, the staff accommodated us without hesitation. A five-star rating doesn't seem to be high enough. Well done.
We had a business meeting at Salem Convention Center. The team was very helpful in getting everything ready. Food was good, and there were plenty of team members around to answer questions and take care of needs on the fly. Thanks for everything!
It was a wonderful time. Great and consider service, delicious food and a very pleasant room. We hope to do this yearly. The staff is excellent to work with, great servers. Thank you to them all.
The prime rib was very rare, and I prefer medium rare, and it was so rare and bloody, people were disgusted with it. Then the second prime rib they brought out was very tough and well done. The chicken had no flavor, the rice was dry, the rolls were hard, and not fresh. Nothing was good except the garlic mashed potatoes. Very disappointed in the quality of food especially at $32 a plate!
This has been our 2nd year at SCC and Bentley's and each time it has been simply fabulous!!! The service is bar none and the settings have been perfect for our needs. The food was divine!!! Everyone loved the setting in the Boardroom and there were NO complaints!!!! We will keep coming back for sure!! Sarah and Soraida, you are simply fabulous to work with. Thank you for your assistance and the wonderful experience!!
As always, we have had another wonderful experience with our annual holiday party! The Salem Convention Center makes it so easy for us to relax and enjoy the event, with no worries. The holiday d?cor is beautiful, the menu and buffet display is delicious and beautiful. Such an attentive staff that takes care of our every need and is always there if we need anything at all!
