Dr. Gurdian was phenomenal and found my early stage glaucoma then backed up his diagnosis with tests that proved he was correct. My only complaint is that one time I waited in the waiting room for nearly an hour because the staff was running behind schedule. I can understand 10 or even 15 minutes, but this particular time was over the top. Regardless, Dr Gurdian was professional and yet made me comfortable and confident in his abilities.

I went to one place to get new classes and ended up having a headache for most of the year. I finally went to Eye Care and all my vision problems were solved. Dr Gilmore not only listened to what I was saying but he understood and helped me so much!! There is no need to go anywhere else or see any other eye doctor. He’s the best in world!!

Dec 22, 2020 Eye Exam & purchased new Spectacles
Had not been to Optician for a while, but they were warm and welcoming, even in the Pandemic. I had a new eye examination and used my new prescription to purchase a new pair of spectacles. TI collected them 10 days later when they were fitted and paid for. ALL done very professionally and with extreme politeness.

Nov 28, 2020 Unexpected Cataract Surgery Needed: went great!
During Covid, and went in for eye exam as my vision had noticeably decreased. Found out I needed cataract surgery. It was scheduled quickly, handled professionally and the whole process was done in two weeks. The results are great, I am very happy with it. All the professionals at Eye Care Physicians and Surgeons were wonderful. i would recommend them to everyone who needs their services.

I had surgery on both eyes. One eye is bothering me - I feel pressure in the corner of my eye - very irritating - I made an appointment with Doctor Neahring and he examined the eye and said the eye looked fine - but could not address the issue I had with feeling the pressure = He made an appointment for me with Doctor Bingham to address my issue. He suggested I get surgery for my eye lids - My eye lids swell a bit in the morning but it goes away - I am not ready nor interested in having the $2600.00 (plus ) surgery - it is not going to fix my pressure problem - maybe a full face lift would do it .. So I guess I have to live with what I got - and am not very happy with it ..

In the middle of covid it is a little unnerving it visit any doctor's office. I checked in at the front desk and was immediately taken into an examining room. No waiting in an over crowded waiting area. Both young assistants wore masks and were more than willing to explain what they were doing. All of my questions were answered with care. Dr. Nearing did my cataract surgery several years ago. I wouldn't even consider going to another eye doctor. He is gentle and caring and willing to discuss any issues you are having. The only hard part was I am a hand shaker and it seemed strange not to be able to shake hands with my doctor.

I told the two young men that attended to my eye-exam that it was the best I ever had. The technician that checked my vision took his time and allowed me time to respond, I never felt pressured while answering 1 or 2 and he even went back and forth a few times. His patience was amazing, very friendly and caring. After complimenting his service he said he likes to think of himself as being the patient and how he would like to be treated. Thank you again for the wonderful eye exam.

Called for appointment was given one for that day, got there and found out they had written different day and time Receptionist really nice looked into it and got me in next day at 8am. Doctor good told me has xcema on eyelids, gave me steroid lotion.

I transferred to Dr. Messenger from a corneal specialist in Portland that retired. Dr. Messenger's treatment has been exemplary and extremely helpful. He explains the medical issues in terms that are easy to understand and is very informative about the options available for care and treatment. Have been especially impressed with his follow up. He calls to check up on how the treatment is working and with other information as necessary. I would highly recommend Dr. Messenger.

I couldn't be more pleased with Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons. All concerned are efficient, professional and caring. My only complaint is that Dr. Rowell is retiring! Nevertheless, I will continue to receive the quality care with whomever I'll be seeing in the coming year.

I had been noticing minor blurriness in my left eye on and off for a few days in February. I didn't think much about it until the evening of Feb. 12th, when I noticed more significant blurriness while I was reading. The next morning I called the eye clinic at 8 a.m. and explained my problem. The person who answered the phone transferred me to Michelle, who asked a few questions. When she learned that it had been going on for a few days, she asked, "so this has been going on for some time, and you're just now calling about it?" I tried to explain that I was calling because it had worsened. She said that "In the future" I should call in a more timely manner. What she said was fair, but the tone of her voice was harsh. She was obviously exasperated and asked me to hold to see what the staff could do to fit me in. I felt chastised. She came back and said that I should come immediately and should expect to wait for whatever length of time it would take. I chalked the attitude up to someone possibly having a bad day. When I arrived at the clinic, everyone else was friendly and professional, including Dr. Neahring. I did have to wait a bit, but I expected that. Ultimately, I received exactly the care I needed and a diagnosis that required future visits. That initial conversation with Michelle didn't have to happen the way it did, and I hope it was an anomaly. I do trust the people at the clinic and appreciate their care.

Mar 1, 2020 Assistant not qualified to do eye exams
There is a new assistant, since my last visit, that does the Eye exams for viewing long distance and close distance. I explained to her that I have double vision and it’s not above or below it’s next to each other my words run into each other and I have a hard time reading. Her response was I’ve never heard of that. And it was dropped.She examined my eyes with her machine that goes up against your face and she test different lenses. And all I said three times was that which one was darker. She never verified that I could read which I can’t and that was it. this girl is not qualified to do I exams So now what do I do do I go back and have her go through it again. No I don’t trust her. Do I go to somebody else and pay again for an eye exam? I’m really frustrated. I understand that it saves the physicians time. But where does it save me time and help me? I don’t drive I have seizures, so I have to find someone to drive me to a night doctor and have the test all over again. I’m not angry or being mean, I’m just really frustrated I trusted my eye doctor for quite for years now and now I’m in this position of deal not being able to read.

In the last month, I've had cataract surgery on both eyes through Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons. The staff was very helpful, answered any questions I had and provided any and all instructions necessary to have a successful surgery and recovery. My wait time was minimal. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone.
