I developed a secondary cataract and needed to have it removed. This was completed in less than five minutes by Dr. Warner. He is skilled at what he does and instills confidence in his patients!
I always receive my normal eye care from Dr. Neahring and most recently for sudden sparkles in my peripheral vision. Slightly scary. I was able to get in promptly and had a thorough exam, a very thorough explanation of the phenomenon and timely followup. Thanks again Dr. Neahring!
The assistants and staff covered all the different aspects of the recommended secondary cataract surgery, and answered all questions I put forward. If they did not have answers, they called later to share with me what they had learned. I appreciated the care that made sure I understood necessary information.
Checked in with no waiting time. I received excellent eye care. I highly recommend them.
I received an exam for glaucoma as well as other things..service was quick, informative and easily understandable.
It was my first experience meeting with Dr. Messinger and found it to be very good. The exam was thorough and professional. Dr. Messinger has a nice personality and communicates well.

As always, my yearly exam has been excellent. The office check-in, pre-exam with assistant and exam with Dr. was excellent.
Previous eye exams have been with Dr. Betsy McDowell for years but she recently retired. Met Dr. Harrington for first time and to review of pervious eye exam. He is very personable and through, I feel I am in good hands. I am treated for preventative glaucoma as it runs in my family. I would highly recommend Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons for any one.
I have been going to Eye Care P&S for a number of years. They have provided great care and testing for myself and my husband. We appreciate the friendly but professional attitude and attention to detail. Dr. McDowell and her assistant answer all questions and are very positive when discussing results of the exams.
I entered and one receptionist was helping people in the reception area. A second one wad on the phone. She may not have known it, but was loud enough to tell it was a personal call. I was taken back for my exam and went through all tests with the MA. She was nice and thorough. The Doctor came in looked at the paperwork looked at my eyes siad left mild retinopathy, right start of a cataract. We will keep an eye on yhem. See you in a year. Less than 10 mins. I like expediency but at leadt tell me if I can fo anything. That's why not 5 star.

I had a new doctor at Eye Care, and it was a great visit. My waiting time wasn't even in minutes. I was taken back almost directly after I arrived, and my vision was tested immediately. The doctor also arrived in a timely method - he took time, tested my vision in depth and gave me a great report. I was out in less than 50 minutes - a first for this clinic. Great doctor, great clinic, great review!!!!

The technician was excellent. Answered all my questions or told me to ask the doctor if it was something he couldn't answer. My doctor, who I have liked very much and has given me wonderful care, seemed to be distracted and in a hurry. He may have been running behind since it was over an hour after my eyes were dilated before he came in for the examination. I understand how that happens and had no concern about it. He did the exam, told me I had macular degeneration and there was no treatment for it, handed me a paper with info on it, said there were vitamins that some people thought helped and left, The vitamins were hand written on the hand out. I definitely feel like a throw away patient, a vibe I have never gotten from him before. I am elderly and have had cancers so I suppose such an attitude may be the case. My oncologist suggested a second opinion but that doesn't seem necessary if there is no treatment anyway. I may pursue that or not. I have not decided.
My son received excellent care here! 3 different doctors checked his eyes during his appointment. Glasses are a great fit! Excellent service! Best place in Salem to get glasses...
Reception staff, technicians and Betsy McDowell do a terrific job of ensuring quality eye care! Thanks for expert care. I also appreciate the attention to Covid guidelines this year so patients feel safe coming. One suggestion to the business managers and CEO. It would be great if those >65 who have AARP-Medicare Suppl. related care plans could take advantage of the discount available if Eye Care physicians were part of that. This would ensure that more people who need it have access to regular check ups. I was still able to come, tho not as often, but others are not. Thanks for considering this!
