I began using the Bistro Blend in my restaurant several years ago. I have since sold the shop but I use these products at home and absolutely love them. This is the only rice I use at home now. Excellent products.
I used this rice in turkey & wild rice soup. So delicious! This is a locally owned & operated mom & pop business in Salem since '92. I personally know the owners, and they are great people. I get their various rice blends in the bulk section at Winco. I have also seen it at Cash & Carry, and they sell it online.
My husband has a very serious medical condition that he is eating pre-digested (using enzymes powders) wild rice as his almost only source of nutrient. Not a good position to be in & hopefully is only temporary. I have search high & low for non-paddy grown wild rice. Thanks to Ankeny Lake, they have the best price for Canadian Lake Wild rice. I ordered 20lb (consumed 10lb in a week) over the weekend, shipped on Monday & received on Tuesday. Very clean rice & super fast shipping. Thank you, you are a life saver.
This blend of rice is hand down the best i have ever ingested. This is the only company i will buy rice from. 10/10 will buy again.

We started using St Maries Wild Rice 25 years ago when it was processed in St Maries. We bought it in small boxes locally and served the "Wild Rice Pilaf" recipe from the box at our church monthly anniversary dinners. People loved it! One day Larry and Sharon visited our church. During our visit we learned they owned the wild rice terminal about a mile from the church. We told them about our dinners. They left that day and returned about five minutes later with a big bag of rice they donated to the "cause". Since then we have been ordering it in the ten pound bags. I retired in 2008. Now we use it for special dinners and have given some as gifts to people as far away as Honduras and Alaska. Service is great. We called yesterday and it arrived today!
There are a lot of other good wild rice products and blends available on the market, and I have tried many of them, but I always come back to the Premium St. Maries Organic Wild Rice - it is the standard to use in judging all others. Why settle for "almost as good as"? They also have other good blends and products, as well as many proven recipies to suit almost any taste or cooking style. Excellent Customer Service - don't hesitate to give them a call.
