Daisy Barrios, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Daisy joined our Behavioral Health team in November 2021. She takes a collaborative approach to therapy that is individual-centered. Therapy approaches she utilizes are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, collaborative problem solving, and solution-focused therapy. She specializes in working with individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts and mood difficulties, and those impacted by trauma and experiencing anxiety. She attended Humboldt State University in Arcata, California, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literary Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies: Women’s Studies. She later obtained a Master’s in Social Work in an advanced generalist program with an emphasis on working in rural and indigenous communities. In her free time, she enjoys captivating moments in nature with photography, walks in nature, and cozying up with a warm blanket in front of the fireplace. She also dabbles in abstract painting when the mood strikes, and is new to gardening but hopes to one day create a permaculture garden oasis. When asked what she enjoys most about working at WFMC Health, she stated “The diverse population we serve. Staff at WFMC are passionate about the work they do and are really warm and welcoming.”
