Halloween weekend is here! Whether you participate in the festivities or not, there are lots of things to do this weekend in Salem—including creative workshops, live music, and community get-togethers.
Discover Kokedama
Get hands-on with the Japanese art of Kokedama during this creative workshop at Rudy’s Garden Classroom. Using a fern, moss, soil, and wire, attendees will create a living moss ball to take home while learning simple display and care techniques along the way.
All supplies are provided. Children under 13 are welcome with an adult.

Trick or Treat Vendor Event
Columbia Hall at the Oregon State Fairgrounds will turn into a two-day marketplace filled with local vendors, decorated booths, costumes, and plenty of candy for trick-or-treaters. Bring the kids, support small businesses, and enjoy a Halloween-themed shopping experience.

October Wine & Watercolor at Chemeketa Cellars
Come paint a sweet and spooky pumpkin patch scene during this watercolor workshop at Chemeketa Cellars Tasting Room. Led by Paint with Magenta instructor Elisa Mack, the class is designed for all skill levels and includes artist-grade materials, guided instruction, and an 8x10 finished piece to take home.
Wine tastings and bottles are available separately and are not included in admission.

Candlelight: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac
Fleetwood Mac favorites take on a new sound during this intimate Candlelight concert at the Willamette Heritage Center. Performed by the Listeso String Quartet, the evening will feature songs like “Landslide,” “Rhiannon,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Songbird,” and “The Chain” in a warm, candlelit setting.

SCARE-ousel Bash at Salem's Carousel
Halloween fun is taking over Salem’s Riverfront Carousel! Come enjoy free activities throughout the day, including coloring pages, a candy corn guessing game, trick-or-treating, and sensory play.
From 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, families can also purchase a limited SCAROUSEL BASH Activity Pass with three rides, popcorn, a Halloween craft, and a goodie bag.

Pewter Sand Casting Workshop with Bobby Pedersen
Try one of the world’s oldest metalworking techniques during this hands-on sand casting workshop at Willamette Art Center. Instructor Bobby Pedersen will guide attendees through creating a sand mold, casting lead-free pewter, and filing and polishing the finished piece.
All tools and materials are provided. No prior experience is needed. Space is limited to eight students.

Celebrate Halloween at Deepwood Museum & Gardens with an afternoon of trick-or-treating, lawn games, storytelling, and photo opportunities! Families can also step inside the historic Queen Anne Victorian home for a self-guided tour of the first floor.

The Salem Halloween Bar Crawl features costumes, creepy cocktails, and seven participating downtown bars. The crawl includes three drink or shot vouchers, no-cover entry, exclusive specials, a mid-party at Mykie’s Bar & Lounge, and an after-party at Side Hustle Bar.

Early Bird Halloween with JT Wise Band

Yoga + Wine at West Hills Vineyards
