Ivan joined our Behavioral Health team in May of 2024. He is a board certified licensed clinical social worker. He began his education by completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Willamette University in 2010 and continued on to earn a Master’s in Social Work degree from Portland State University in 2015. His clinical approach is collaborative and person-centered, and he draws upon multiple different therapeutic modalities in his work with patients and families, some that include CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Psychoeducation and Solution-Focused Therapy. Ivan has experience in working with and treating individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and adjustment issues. Ivan is bilingual and bicultural (English and Spanish), and he works to hold a safe space for individuals and families from different backgrounds, ethnicities, gender identities and cultures. When Ivan is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, working out, traveling, and being out in nature.
