OUR HISTORY

In 1994, Pastor Paul Cunningham started Westmoore Church in a small shopping center on 89th and S. Walker. Paul’s goal was to create “a new church for a new generation”—a place where people could come as they are and worship God in a new way. Our full-band rock worship style gave us the reputation of “the Flock that ROCKS!” Not too long after the church started, we received a noise complaint from the neighborhood behind the shopping center. This complaint was featured on the evening news, and our attendance skyrocketed. We eventually grew out of the shopping center and moved next to Westmoore High School. We built our current location at 11513 S. Western, across the street from Brink Junior High School, in 2020. In February 2024, Pastor Paul retired as Senior Pastor and passed the baton to Pastor Glenn Quirk, who continues to lead the mission of being the hands and feet of Jesus to the communities of South Oklahoma City, Moore, and beyond.

It had been a long time since I'd given church a chance. A lot of people & places had hurt me (or rather, I let them hurt me.) Jesus is at the center of this place 100% and they think that faith without action is DEAD- which means they are the hands and… Keep Reading feet of Jesus to this community- doing food drives, helping single moms & the elderly fix their cars, they have health fairs, you name it, they SERVE. Pastor Paul Cunningham, and now Glenn Quirk are incredible humans with servant leadership & incredible leadership teams. This church is going places. There's a revival coming to OKC. I can't wait to see how WCC fits in.
