Historic Bethabara Park is a wonderful piece of history near Winston-Salem. The buildings are well maintained and have excellent tours & guides. The Visitor's Center is modern, well-maintained, and used for educational meetings. They have a nice little gift shop too! There are special community events scheduled almost every month of the year, geared for families and kids. Their heirloom herb garden is one of the best in the Southeast. They maintain a website to keep the community up-to-date. My personal favorites are the Summer evening concerts and the Highland Scottish Games!
