Valiant the Sandwich

Stopped in on a slow sunday afternoon. Nice chill vibes when walking in and sitting down. Our waitress quickly brought us some water and took our order. I ordered the Take my money breakfast biscuit. It was pretty great, the chorizo jam and the pimento cheese went well with your standard sausage egg and cheese. The biscuit was super buttery and didn't fall apart under the weight of this monster. My cousin grabbed the mushroom smash burger. It came on rye and reminded me of quite possibly the best patty .elt I ever had. We both had the soup. Today was red chili pepper tomato which was very very good as well. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the other fantastic sounding sandwiches on the menu. I love the fact the charge 3 bucks to change their menu. Even to take the mushrooms off lolol. Good move. Will be back soon.

This place has an excellent, easy to read menu. The staff is friendly and kept our bevereges topped off. The menu is sandwiches and hamburger's mostly but the sandwiches are a wide variety of ingredients and flavors. i was starving so i picked a cuban... it was loaded with very tasty ingredients. It came with tomato soup. The manager let us taste some pork belly chunks and it was instant love! I plan to make many return trips the valiant, there are many items on the menu i want to try. The name of valiant the sandwich is in the process of being changed but will still be valiant. Downtown salem is a better place for having this sandwich shop.

Small sandwich restaurant with a full service bar and minimal outdoor seating. Cool, casual vibe. You walk to the counter, grab a menu and a seat and a server comes over. A friend and I met for lunch and neither of us had been in before. It’s clean and our server was good. Food came out in an appropriate amount of time. I ordered the Cindy Burger with fries and a side of ranch and my friend ordered the Rueben with the same side. We split the dishes so we could share the food experience. The burger was really good! Seasoned well and even had a hint of spiciness to it somehow. The produce on it was fresh and the bun was toasted to perfection. The Rueben I wasn’t so thrilled with. It had good flavor but the meat, to me, was too thick and too fatty. The fries were seasoned and hot and the ranch dressing on the side seemed very fresh. I’ll definitely eat here again and I’d recommend it for a good sandwich spot!
