I cannot say enough! Overall experience for altering my daughter’s winter formal dress was exceptional. Katherine is a gem; so kind, so talented, and so passionate about the work that she does. My daughter’s dress was a complete transformation and fit her like a glove. She worked so well with my daughter and really listened to what she was hoping for and made that happen and more. My daughter was stunning and was so happy and excited to be zipped into her dress. Forever grateful to Katherine! We will be back for prom, someday wedding, and then all those milestones with my youngest as well. Highly recommend her!

She helped create my dream wedding dress for my July 24 wedding, enhancing it in every possible way. It is going to be hard to say enough about Katherine and her talents, but I will try! I had a custom dress made by Katherine, from start to finish, and the process was honestly so fun and the result was nothing short of perfect for me. I am not someone who feels comfortable in my body a lot of the time, especially not in fancy dresses, and I felt AMAZING on my wedding day. My dress fit me perfectly and accentuated and hid everything that I wanted it to, because Katherine listened to me and executed my wishes while providing her expertise and skill to make it look exactly right. The dress was so comfortable thanks to all of the thoughtful things Katherine did, like lining it in cotton and sewing in boning so I could skip a bra. I also had a veil made from her, and it was also perfect. She listened to me every step of the way, and was so professional but also made me feel like we were friends :) She was respectful of my budget and extremely transparent with her pricing at each step of the process. To tell a little more about the process, in case anyone was thinking about going the custom route- I found Katherine when I was looking for alteration advice for 2 dresses that I liked but didn't love. She was extremely helpful with estimating the work that would need to be done and the cost between the two, before I was even her client. I think she could tell I wasn't sure about them, and offered the idea of creating a custom dress. She explained the process to me thoroughly, and I decided to go for it. I sent her inspiration photos and told her what I liked and didn't like about other dresses, and the general vibe I was going for. When I got to her studio, she had printed out my "moodboard", and had samples of fabric ready to look at, and had added some inspiration of her own based on what I showed her. I was so impressed and immediately felt like she understood what I wanted. It truly felt like a collaboration. After this appointment, we had a general idea of what the dress would be and were between a couple of fabrics. A few months later, we met again to discuss fabric again and make some final decisions so we could order the fabric. Katherine had made a small mock up of the dress on a tiny mannequin, and that helped me visualize what it would be. We picked fabric based on the mock up and got some initial measurements so she knew how much to order. There was a specific fabric that I wanted that was on backorder, which made me nervous, but Katherine was great with communicating with me about this and having a game plan if we couldn't get it. Luckily we did! After this, we made a series of appointments in April (my wedding was in June). She explained it made more sense to create the dress as close as comfortable to the wedding date, so it would fit me best. It was crazy to watch the dress come together during these appointments! The first one just had a pattern basically made of cotton or muslin(?) that she marked up and pinned to get the final pattern for the real dress. Over the course of a few appointments, it all came together a bit more each time and I was able to give feedback every step of the way. It turned out perfect. On the last appointment, Katherine took some pictures and explained/took videos of how to get into the dress and do up the bustle. She even offers an included pick up party for your friends and family if you want ! I know this review is long, so if you are still reading.. once again, I cannot recommend Katherine and the custom dress process enough. The way I felt on my wedding day in my dress was priceless ( but ... to be honest the actual price was not bad at all! haha) Book with her early, she is popular!
