Had the good fortune of being a seated next to Dame M.A. at a recent fundraiser for the Eugene Public Library Foundation. Through the course of our conversation I found her to be a gracious, well-informed, and extremely well-connected representative of the Springfield Chamber. With rare charisma, genuine elegance, and exemplary warmth of hospitality, Dame M.A. provided excellent and insightful information about the most pertinent aspects of questions that I had as one new to the area. She was sincerely welcoming; she won Springfield Chamber one more fan in the community before the evening was through.
