Southern Tail Brewing

First time here. We went on a Sunday afternoon. We didn't realize it was just a brunch menu and that they don't serve a full lunch menu. I am so used to large southern breakfasts that it was a bit underwhelming to see such a tiny portion of breakfast potatoes and a small sandwich. My husbands plate was a much bigger plate. And I helped him finish that. I did enjoy the taste of all our food. We did get a flight of beer and that was good. No complaints about the service either. They were very friendly.

Quick visit to town while in to look at nearby University. This got good reviews so we thought we would give it a try. Parking lot was gravel and pretty busy. People were Parking on the street. First impression was it is probably a happening place on Friday nights. Looks like a place for a band and lots of outdoor seating. Thankful for indoor on a hot day. There were lots of flies. but that happens going in and out. Decor (lighting, lounge area) was very nice inside, minus dog art everywhere. The thought is not appetizing around food. Waitress was nice. Food was just ok though. If you are coming for an outing to have drinks and socialize this would be fun, but don't come for the food.

The food was fine. The pimento cheese burger was really juicy that the buns were soggy and sticky, which was a downside, but the bacon jam in there was great. We also had the beer can chicken. The flavor was so distinct and strong that it’s interesting and slowly grew on me.
