Pros: The staff are very nice and friendly. The facility is clean and I really like the aesthetic! I worked with Charlotte, she was very sweet and personable. The apprentice who dried my hair was also very kind. Cons: I was misquoted on time and cost at my consult (separate day from appt); I was told 3 hours and the cost would be 150-200. I was in the chair for 4 hours with a cost of 300 (not including tip). I didn’t get exactly what I wanted- my appt was for color correction and I was hoping for the red tones to be neutralized but my hair is still quite red with the color that was applied following the color stripping process (wanted to wait a few days to post the review for the color to settle). Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, just didn’t get exactly what I wanted from my appt.

Sydney is amazing! I’ve been three times since moving to Richmond for just a routine trim, and every time I leave in love with my hair! At my most recent appointment, Sydney really took the time to walk me through the curly hair routine so I would be able to replicate it myself at home. She’s very knowledgeable when it comes to hair products as well and makes great recommendations based on my hair type and what I’m looking for. Sage Salon also offers a complimentary drink with your appointment which is nice! You will definitely be taken care of here, and I highly recommend!

I went from bouncing around from salon to salon struggling to find someone who actually listens thoroughly to how I want my haircut, Safe to say I definitely found the right person Kate does an amazing job at executing what I ask for and taking her time with my hair. Shes so awesome :)

Marty Willis has been doing my hair for a couple years now and she is an amazing stylist and colorist. My hair color looks like it is natural and the highlights contribute to the effect. When I started seeing her following my experience at a previous salon where I had had back to back cuts of my curly hair that were disasters and had made my hair un manageable, ven with the state my hair was in, she found a way to make it work. I left the first appointment feeling much better about my appearance, especially at work. Now i look forward to having my hair done and have confidence that the results are going to be exactly what will work. Highly recommend.

Marty at Sage is the BEST! She has been highlighting & cutting my hair since I moved to Richmond 12 years ago! I get compliments all the time on my color… on zoom calls, women in stores… all the time! She is so very talented & I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair.
