Refuge for Women

I am currently working at Refuge for Women, and it has changed my life. I know the Lord Jesus opened this door for me to use me for His purpose of healing and restoration for hurting women. It is heavy work, but I know that God is fighting the battle, He just needs to me to be faithful and obedient to show His love, mercy, and grace. At Refuge, these very vulnerable and hurting women have a safe, stable, and loving environment to hear the Gospel of Jesus and grow in their faith while working through their horrible traumatic experiences. I can see and feel how much the leadership and staff love each resident and pray for their success and restoration so they can move forward and live their lives dedicated to Christ and fufill the plans He has for them. I also feel loved and appreciated by the leadership. They believe in self care of the staff and are always in communication on how we are doing. If there are issues, the leadership is always loving but firm on addressing the issues, and they are positive, uplifting, and encouraging. I have never loved a job as much as this one, and I thank the Lord for bringing me to such a wonderful organization.

No nonprofit is perfect but what you will find here is servant leadership who is present, mission driven, has integrity, cares deeply about the wellbeing of staff and residents, and is always open to exploring areas of opportunity for improvement! The organization's heart is for women who have experienced pain and heartache. The empathy and dedication are apparent and flows freely!
