Pure Energy Group

I found Pure Energy Group searching for a "local" company that installs back up batteries along with solar panels. Pure Energy Group is recommended by Energy Trust of Oregon and their reputation is immaculate. I left a phone message specifying what I was looking for and John from sales came out to help me. One thing that impressed me most about Pure Energy is they do not try to sell you more than you actually want or need. They designed my system based on my annual usage and the back up batteries I requested for power outages. I'm happy to announce the neighborhood has had a couple outages and my home was not affected. The transfer switch kicks on immediately in an outage and you barely notice it at all. The installers and electricians were fabulous. When Pacific Power came out to configure my smart meter, the technician said that my battery installation was the most professional he had ever seen. Pure Energy got me the top incentives going for solar from both Oregon Department of Energy and Energy Trust of Oregon. In fact, Energy Trust picked up a major portion of the back up batteries. I will also get a generous rebate on my federal taxes. I should mention that I had previously looked into getting a gas generator for back up during outages, but wasn't thrilled with the noise, maintenance or fumes. Solar battery back up is quiet, clean and has a better warranty too. I highly recommend Pure Energy for your home solar system along with battery back up for outages. BTW, my electric bill is now just the base monthly fee and taxes, less than $15 per month. My panels are producing all the electricity that I consume.

Received a call from Pure Energy Group on Monday asking if they could come in a day early and set up our solar system. Crew arrived 8:00 AM sharp and came off the roof with the job completed before 3:00 PM. Answered all our questions and demonstrated a degree of professional skills that would allow me to recommend them to others.

Recently had a solar system installed by Pure Energy Group (PEG) and could not be happier with the quote process, installation, and now final project completion. Overall, everything was easy and straightforward. Glad I can support a local company and would encourage other to do the same. I got numerous quotes from other solar companies and none of them were as reasonable as the quote from PEG. PEG's quote beat the next closet by ~5%. Warrant is good and quoting/negotiation process was straightforward. Miles (who I worked with for the initial quote and contract) was responsive and answered all my questions as they would come up. He wasn't pushy, like some other companies were during the process, but rather low-pressure and concise. After signing my contract with PEG, I was meet with welcome emails that clearly laid out the process and what I would need to do to keep everything going smoothly. All I needed to do was pay the down payment invoice, which I just drove to the office in person and wrote a check (very easy and straightforward). They handled the rest. After completion of the permitting process, handled entirely by PEG, I was contacted to schedule the installation. Within a week, the installation crew was at my door. I spoke with the crew briefly and helped them get setup (moved cars, stuff in the garage, and gave them some information they requested) then I just let them do their work. The installation crew looked at the original layout and asked if they could move a few panels around for aesthetics and I told them that was fine as long it didn't interfere with the panel production values, so they called engineering and verified then proceeded to shift the panels to a more appealing position, which my wife appreciated. By 1:00 pm they were all done installing the system and gave me a quick overview of what would happen next. The last step was a final inspection and then PGE had to come swap the meter, this was handled externally but quickly and now we are producing power. System seems to be preforming as advertised and no complaints so far, excited to finally have solar on my home and avoid all the proposed rate hikes coming. The full process (from contract signing to power production) took just under 2 months.
