Two-Factor vs. Multi-Factor Authentication
You are about to login to your online banking portal when a notification pops up: “Confirm it’s you. We’ll send you a text message with a verification code to (***) ***-3563”. While this may seem unnecessary and annoying on the surface, your bank is trying to protect you from fraud. This is called two-factor authentication.
