Surrounding the Oaklands Mansion, the Oaklands Park offers a surprisingly relaxed time away from the bustling, pervasive cityscape in its quaint space. While not large in scope, the grounds are made up of a web of walking paths with dozens of points of interest. With a heavily shaded path, children's playground, numerous resting points, and an abundance of informational signage, the Oaklands Park grounds are perfect for anyone wanting to be more in tune with nature. Growing up, I was always told that the area features at least one of every tree native to Tennessee. Whether that statement is still true today, I'm unsure, but there is certainly not shortage of flora that is all detailed for visitors to learn about.

Summer is coming. Nice place to walk your dog or self. Trails are nice. Found out the spring averages 61 degrees year round. Dog likes to cool off and get a drink. Come and enjoy.
Oaklands is a nice quiet place to visit. There are toys for the kids, paths to walk on and lots of information about the times the house was flourishing
