Over the Moon
On 4/12/2018- my home I had built in 2015 in my little 55 and older community, became 100% complete when Don and his staff installed my gorgeous patio retractable awning. The whole process from start to finish was a breeze. Don helped me, with his expert knowledge, how to write of plans for my HOA approval, choose the perfect sturdy fabric and allowed me time to chose colors. He walked me through how it was going to be installed and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. There was never rushing to start the process...easy and professional. The install was clean as a whistle and the electrical install so clean and neat...one would think it ran on magic and not on electricity hook-up. Love my remote and was even given a rod to help out if ever the electricity went out in my neighborhood. The shade I get facing the west on my patio is unbelievable. That side of the home suffered 3 summer heats and now no more. Bring on the sun!!!! It is like having an additional room added to my home. All my neighbors love it!! 5 stars and would of given 10, 20, 30, etc. Thank you to Don, Sergi,Jeremy and Serg.
All-around great!
Our 35 year old huge gnarly serious shade dropping Mulberry had to be removed. It provided a ton of shade to our backyard and we knew we needed to go with an awning and some drop shades for the scorching sun/heat that is to come as well as addressing the the hot setting sun that always streamed through our sliding glass doors even with the tree. We decided on Don's Awnings, because after all our research the quality and durability could not be beat and also because Don is well seasoned in his knowledge of this product and fully explained everything and also answered all our questions with confidence and ease. From my first conversation with Don to the last, all went smooth, it was really a nice experience.
So we have had our awning and drop shades for about 2 weeks and we LOVE them. The awning is so quiet that while I was demonstrating to a friend how the drop shades work and wondering why the remote was not working for the drop shades, my friend told me that I had just opened and closed the awning! I did not even know I was using the wrong remote because I was so concentrating on the drop shades and did not hear the awning open because it is that smooth and quiet. Oh and we got the add on lights too and they are great because they provide exceptional lighting which will come in handy when we want to do our projects outside during the sometimes cool evenings of summer. Nice to have a choice!
In summary, Don was great, his product is great and his crew was great in setting up and paying attention to detail as well as cleaning up thoroughly. Thank you again Don!
Solar Shades
Purchased 5 large power operated solar shades from Don.
Initial visits were quick and easy. Shades were delivered when promised,
and installation was done perfectly.
We couldn't be happier with the product and the level of service we received from Don
Sun shade and drop shade install
We had Don's Awnings install a solid patio cover and 32' of drop shades. The install was quick, the crew was polite, neat, and cleaned up the job site! They communicated with us at every step. The finished product looks good, shades work perfectly. We are happy with everything!
Wish I would have contacted Don a long time ago
After contacting Don he came to my home and designed a lattice for my full sun exposed backyard. Don's team arrived when promised and were professional from start to finish. My yard was left very clean with a beautiful new lattice that performs exactly as I had hoped. I always receive compliments on how nice my patio area looks. I cannot recommend Don's Awnings more highly!
Everthing true about other reviews
We moved into Sun City Lincoln Hills 13 years ago and decided in 2005 to cover our patio and to install remote shades to help with the setting sun from the west. Since that time the shades have not survived the sun and weather very well and in fact one shade had become tattered and torn. Decided to replace them and went on Google and Yelp to look at what others in our area had done and how they rated the companies. Don's Awnings was at the top of every list and then I noticed he had done the shades here in Sun City Lincoln for the Meridians Restaurant. I called Don and he set an appointment for the following week. He explained that the newer products are much more efficient and last a lot longer. We made a down payment and placed the order. He told us to expect about a 4 week delivery time. We ordered on May 23rd and our installation was completed on June 19th. His staff were very efficient and only here a couple of hours. Hauled away the old shades and cleaned up. The new shades are outstanding and with our mister running noticed quite a drop in the heat coming into our patio. Thanks Don and your staff. We will always recommend your fine company to all of our friends and neighbors.
Love our new Awning - Terrific Service
Don and his team did a fantastic job installing our new awning and we would highly recommend this company. The awning is quiet, the LED lighting is beautiful and most importantly the awning is providing coverage that not only keeps the outside cooler but the inside as well. The team that installed the awning was top notch. The team arrived on time, did an impecable job installing the awning so it opens and shuts smoothly, demoed the proruct and when they left everything was picked up. Fantastic company and team to do business with.
Excellent Service and Cleanup. Definitely will use again.
Chris and crew arrived on time and were very informative and cleaned up everything. You would never know they were here. They installed a Eclipse Shade Screen over our nook window. Works great. We will really enjoy be able to sit a table without the sun glare.
Exceptional Quality and Service!
Don and his crew led by Sergei were professional from beginning to end! From planning to installation, everything was covered and all questions answered. Although Don was away during installation, Sergei and his crew were outstanding in their work ethic and knowledge of the process. Their attention to detail resulted in a perfect solid patio cover. They were polite, on time and clean up was great! I bought this house last fall and it was in serious need of attention inside and out. The backyard was a mess, but now I will be able to enjoy it with my new patio cover. Thanks Don and especially Sergei and crew!! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality and great service.
Solid as they come......
Had Patio cover installed with tear down of old. Crews were on time and completely professional. All members payed attention to details. Clean up after and setting up for next day. Had a few questions from home owners perspective in other areas and they were more than happy to assist. New cover looks amazing!!! Thanks Don...Actually thank you crew, you guys did the work!!! sorry Don..:( Kudos's where they belong.......)
Excellen service.
Don's Awnings has done two projects at our home and we are very pleased with both. We chose to get solid shades attached to our patio cover. Works well to block out the sun. Both Don and his workers are very conscientious to do a good job. They arrive on time, are very organized and clean up after they're done
Highly recommend
Don's crew just left from putting up our new, solid patio cover. These guys have a great work ethic. They show up on time, do the work, and clean up the whole area. The solid patio cover is beautiful and now will keep the rain off the patio and furniture. Thank you, Don and crew.
Awesome Patio Cover and Drop Shade
We recently moved into a new home with a side courtyard that was not covered. We used Don's Awnings in our last house (over 12 years ago) for the automated drop shades and he also did a patio cover for our mom. We knew he was reputable and would provide us with good service. Our roof levels were two different heights on the sides of the courtyard - no problem, Don came up with a design that looked symmetrical, didn't block the views from our transom windows up high, etc. The job was completed in two days - the crew was great, they held the noise to a minimum and cleaned up everything before they left. We love that our courtyard patio stays dry with the Lexan product he put on top of the lattice. The electronic shades have been improved since our last ones, and it works great!! Highly recommend Don - he is honest, fair and easy to work with. He is also creative in solving unusual situations like ours.
Great service from beginning to end
Don's team, lead by Sergey, did an excellent job of installing an insulated roof system over our latticed cover. It doubled our rain resistant backyard patio. They were quick, efficient, and cleaned up all debris. Don followed up to insure we were satisfied with the work. Recommendations lead us to Don's Awnings. We will gladly also recommend him.

The installation was ahead of schedule. The motorized awning with drop shade looks and operates very well.
We are glad that we chose Don's Awnings for the job and recommend this company.
Highly Recommended
This is our second project with Don; Sergei leading both of them. Don's crew shows up on time, they get the job done, and leave your home looking better than when they arrived. They are the best at what they do...I highly recommend Don and his crew!
Highly Recommend
Our new retractable awning has been up for a month and it's perfect. The installers were efficient, on time and friendly. The installation is very clean and blends well on the exterior. We are very pleased with the quality of the awning and really enjoy the relief from the afternoon sun on our west facing window. It's worth every penny we paid!
Outstanding service
