With all the Volcanic heat we have been experiencing of late, it is a wonder we haven't had more pipes crack, rupture or break. As of September 3, 2026 Mother Nature finally took its toll on our old water line out in Robinson, Texas. We've been fortunate not having these issues for some time. We scrambled looking for a reputable plumber to come out to fix our issue which had resulted in us going without water over night. Since it was after hours we figured we were going to fall victim to being gouged. Then I remembered someone I knew from way back in the day who was a plumber. "Lil Joe Castillo"! We have had other plumbers out before, but for reasons such as not being happy with their work, too high a fee charged or other! Upon calling LJ Plumbing Waco, Texas we left a message of our needs and a short time later we received a call back from Shawn Castillo telling us that it may be tomorrow on September 4, 2026 before they could come out, but would call in the morning to check if we still wanted them. We were still needing them and were ever so glad they called as they said they would. After the call, they were out to our home within the hour as they said they would. They came, the saw and they fixed the problem in what seemed to only take a little over an hour! WOW is all I can say and upon them leaving us completely satisfied with their work, we paid a lot less than expected for their services. It was a small fee for what they had to do to to fix the issue which required as mentioned some hard digging and repair of pipes. Will we use them again... You Bet! Shawn and his helper were most courteous and professional calling as promised, doing the job and not leaving a mess! For what it is worth, I HIGHLY SUGGEST if you need a plumber, call LJ Plumbing Waco, Texas. I believe they will do you right and as mentioned, we shall call them back when needed!

I had a horrible experience with Shawn on February 13th, 2026. He was there to fix a leak in the ground near the water meter. He cursed at me, threw his shovel into his Van in anger and stormed off the job. I was so shocked and tramatized by the experience I was shaking, I felt like I was going to throw up and the whole ordeal made me so upset, I was in tears. I was home alone and I went to stay with my sister until I got a grip on my feeling. I kept replaying what happened in my head and I still can't understand what happened or why. The thing is that I had a good experience with him and his son on a previous job. That time, other people were around and I had a man present. But today was a totally different experience. Maybe he was already having a bad day. I don't know what I did to trigger him or maybe he has anger management issues. He was very unprofessional. He triggered a sickening response in me. I feel like he owes me an apology.

We called this morning because of what we suspected was a clog in the main sewer line. They sent two plumbers out by early afternoon. They were professional and efficient (and patient with my mother who never stops talking and who repeats herself), and the price was reasonable. I have had multiple negative experiences with plumbers at other companies, so it is refreshing to work with plumbers who are honest. I highly recommend LJ Plumbing.

I was given a estimate for a job and I told them I was bid a little cheaper by another company and the employee response was why did I waste his time! I'm sorry I thought I was looking for the most professional and cost effective provider. He was right tho I will not waste his time again.
