David and his team installed a french drain on one side of our house where we were having drainage issues. The drain works great and we no longer have any issues. They were courteous, quick to respond, and easy to work with. Recommended.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review for David Craig – Innovative Underground (Eugene, OR) After eight years of living with a stubborn drainage problem, I had nearly given up. Two of our roof gutters fed into a 65-foot underground line that was supposed to carry rainwater to the street — but something deep under our concrete walkway and patio was badly clogged. I spent months working with two different companies, each promising solutions that never worked. After four costly attempts, I still had overflowing gutters, water pooling near our foundation, and a growing sense of frustration. Then I called David Craig at Innovative Underground, and everything changed. From the very first consultation — which was detailed, thoughtful, and worth every penny — David impressed me as a creative idea-guy with vast experience and true integrity. He looked at my situation and saw several possible paths to success that I never would’ve imagined. His final design was simple, smart, and permanent: a trench and a new piping system leading to a pop-up emitter, placed well away from the house to disperse roof runoff safely. David was on-site the entire day with his assistant Jay, personally ensuring that every connection, slope, and joint fit ideally. They worked cleanly, efficiently, and with genuine care for my property. It’s rare to see that level of professionalism and craftsmanship today. The results speak for themselves: both gutters now drain flawlessly into the new emitter system, even in the heaviest Oregon rain. The stress and worry that consumed me all summer are finally gone — replaced by real peace of mind. David is honest, caring, innovative, and thorough. He offers options rather than pressure, listens rather than assumes, and brings decades of experience to every decision. Whether you hire him for a whole project or just a consultation, his insight is worth your investment. I highly recommend Innovative Underground to anyone facing drainage challenges. David Craig is exactly the professional you hope to find — ethical, experienced, and genuinely committed to solving problems the right way.

When I contacted Innovative Underground I was skeptical of bring charging for an estimate. He had the best solution of all the estimates we received. After his bid was accepted, he deducted that fee from the final invoice. I can tell you hiring him for this job was worth every penny. David was a pleasure to work with. Even solving unexpected problems in real time. He came in on time and on budget. Responsible and respectful of our home and our neighbors. I would hire him again in a second. Do yourself a favor and give them a call.

David took on a huge drainage project for me and was on top of everything at all times. The transformation was amazing. He takes pride in his work and it shows. He is on time, does exactly what he says he will do and always checks to make sure we are on the same page. He even helped me out with some great referrals for other work. Don’t make the mistake of using landscapers to do a job that involves drainage or French drains, sump pumps, or grading or any of that. David is meticulous and will always do the job the right way. It’s called Innovative for a good reason! You will not be disappointed.

Innovative Underground installed our french drain this October, 2020. Our home sits on a sizable slope and rain water would puddle up very quickly. Together, David Craig and I determined the best place to run off the saturated surface water, which lay just in front of our main entry. The french drain tied into our existing underground storm drain. We had sizeable rain in the past couple days and the puddle is gone. The moisture in the photo is from the light morning rainfall. Project was a success, The installation was neat, quick, and below bid. We are very thankful for the good work and materials. The guys were easy to work with and flexible in design and schedule. Well done.
