Hazella Bake Shop

I went into Hazella Bake Shop today and wow! I was not disappointed. Michael the owner was very welcoming and friendly. I got a ham and gruyere pastries, a blackberry cream cheese tart, and a lemon curd brioche bun, and a coffee Everything was delicious. The pastry was probably the most perfect pastry dough I've ever had. Perfectly crispy, buttery, flakey and soft. I will definitely be stopping in a lot more frequently now!

This place is amazing. I stopped in with my husband the other day, and got to meet the owner, Michael. Not only did he make me feel welcome, he treated us like an old friend; which doesn't even happen with my old friends! My husband had been bragging about this place when he stops in town, and so I finally got to see what the hype is about. The food is amazing and freshly made. I had a lovely cheese and leek tart and potato filled savory knish, and he had a chicken beirock and we shared a berry hand pie that came right put of the oven! Such friendly and caring staff, quick and thorough service... what more could you ask for? We'll definitely be back. Thank you for such a great eating experience! :)

Worth getting off the interstate for! Wonderful pastries, both sweet and savory, most on a base of either a brioche-type dough or a croissant-type of dough. Flavors and fillings change monthly, and reflect the local produce when it’s in season. You’ll also find quiche, handpies, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, and great coffee - all served by the kindest people in the valley. Rebekah, Michael, and their staff are all warm and welcoming. They make everyone who comes through the door feel like welcome friends. Our family especially recommends their cardamom buns, lemon brioche, leek and Parmesan braided croissants, and curried chicken bieroks - but you can’t go wrong with anything in the case! Get off the interstate, drive 10 minutes through beautiful farmland, stop at Hazella’s for a bite, then stroll Lebanon’s active downtown area. There are specialty shops, galleries, a great bookstore, antique shops and resale stores, as well as beautiful city and county parks. This town is one of Oregon’s best kept secrets.
