Ellis Patrick B DO

Dr. Ellis is a gifted psychiatrist. He has helped me become a better and more mentally stable person. I like his approach to lifestyle and health before medication. This isn't to say he won't supply psychiatric medication. He will, just not liberally if you don't clinically need it. Highly recommend.

I have been seeing Dr. Ellis for two years. He is the only psychiatrist I have had that I feel really listens to me and asks for my input in my treatment. He also does not put me on more meds than I need to be on. He begins every appointment with "I'm here to listen" or "update me on what's going on.' Whereas some psychiatrists I have seen seem to see patients as puzzles, Dr. Ellis sees you as a person.

Dr Ellis has helped me immensely through my mental-health and holistic-health journey. When I first arrived in his care I was extremely unstable and sleep deprived. Instead of switching or strengthening my pre-existing prescription for antidepressants he used an "outside the box" non-addictive medication to calm me and help me sleep. Once I became more stable he suggested some tools I could self use and develop to help myself eradicate the emotional and mental causes of my current unpleasant experiences. He then graciously offered much wisdom and guidance as he stood by me while I went through this process and eventually weened off of all of my medication. I still have a ways to go, but largely thanks to Dr. Ellis and my own will to not give up I am now in a stable place and on a good path forward for my future. Thank you Dr. Ellis for listening, first to me, and then to your intuition to what would help me the most.
